I wish I could give my game a 5-star rating but I played terribly that day. In spite of that, it was a very enjoyable course to play- challenging but not too difficult. Fairways and greens were on great shape. There was some standing water due to last week's,s heavy rains but otherwise very nice.

I liked the fact that they allowed twosomes and singles out by themselves and the pave of play wasn't bad, considering that. My only complaint is that the greens were very penal. Lots of undulations . Some were fast and some were slow but neither of us could make a par. By the end, it was demoralizing.

I loved everything about this course- the scenery is breathtaking. The staff was friendly and had a well-run operation. We were paired with 2 members. They were elderly gents that were very nice to play with. Unfortunately, they were also very slow and didn't play ready golf. Unfortunately, this caused the staff to come out and ask up to pick up the pace. The members didn't like that and nothing changed in the pace of our foursome. This caused the head pro to come out at the turn and ask that we skip the 10th hoke to clear the golf course. The elderly gents didn't like this and they decided to quit and go home. We then played the back 9 very quickly.
I mention this because the staff couldn't have been nicer in how they addressed this issue and they were right to do so. I'd much rather play at a course that monitors play than one that's all backed up
I definitely want to play here again. Greens are challenging. Just a fun course!

The course was dried out and the fairways were not in great shape. The rough is thick and difficult. But all of the greens are crowned. Unless you hit your shots absolutely perfectly, it's almost impossible to keep your ball on the greens. They roll off in all directions. Pros might enjoy greens like that but our group of intermediate golfers were a but frustrated by the end.

The best part of this golf course is the selection of merchandise in the pro shop.

It was unusual to see tall majestic trees throughout the golf course. The course itself is aesthetically very nice. The rough was a bit straggly. The course plays more like. a long course. The greens are gigantic and impossible to read.
The staff people were all unfriendly. Very curt and not at all helpful. This includes staff inside the pro shop and outside.
Also, we had no idea when we made our tee time that we were being placed into.a shotgun start. It didn't matter except that the guy in the pro shop practically barked at me when I tried to check in for our tee time.
Fortunately, we were placed with another couple that was very nice and we had a good day in spite of the rude staff. I

This course usually rates a 5 from me but on this day, the round was a bit tainted by our playing partners. My husband and I were twosome. I understand that the course needs to pair us up with others and I dont even mind being paired with two men. However, one of the men never shut up during the entire 18 holes. He would talk while others were swinging- he just never stopped talking. I can't blame the golf course but it wasn't the most pleasant round
There was a mixed twosome in front of us. Sure wish we could have played with them.

I can't wait to play this course again. It was challenging, especially the greens. Scenery was beautiful and the staff were super friendly. Great value.

We play this course often when we're in the area. It's a beautiful golf course and is always in good condition. However, we ALWAYS sit and wait and wait. Today, we were a twosome, behind a foursome, so we weren't surprised that we were waiting. But when we saw empty greens ahead and the guys in front of us hitting a second ball when they didn't like their first shot it made us crazy. Somebody needs to be monitoring pace of play

We're rethinking coming back.

This is a wonderful course but waiting at each hole devalues it. We had walkers two groups in front of us. Not sure if they were the ones who slowed everything down but the threesome in front of us quit after #8.

We just couldn't stand to play another 9 at that place do quit, even though we had paid for 18. They could use some rangers.

When we arrived, we were told that they were running behind because of a student tournament. Not only did the students take carts, they also brought along unexpected spectators who took carts so no one could go out until some carts came in. We went out 45 minutes after our scheduled tee time. After about 3 holes, the starter came up to us and said that some holes were cart path only and that he had told everyone that. We said "we'll, you never told us!". He was rather rude, especially on a day when they were upside down and people were walking out because they couldn't get out on time. We played the last 3 holes in the dark, due to the delay. In starting. Theurse was very wet- even huge puddles in the bunkerss.
Just seemed like no one was managing things there.
One bright spot was the nice young guy in the pro shop. He had to listen to a lot of angry people but he couldn't have been nicer.

We've always admired this course when visiting St Pete. We didn't take advantage of the member for a day deal but want to because the restaurant looks great. The course was challenging without being too tough. We had a twosome, one man and one woman. Had to wait on most holes but not excessive. All in all, we felt it was a great value and we'll return again.

I've never played here when the course wasn't in perfect condition. It's challenging, beautiful and a great value. The pace of play is much better than most public courses. Love playing here.
