Arrowsmith Golf and Country Club
Played On 10/03/2022Great Season, Fun Golf Course
Having a great season at this fun to play golf course!
The course has been in great shape for most of this year, especially the latter part. The greens have been really puttable, with most being at good speed and not bumpy.
The staff in the pro shop is very accommodating and always do their best to see that you have a good experience. The 19th Hole is also a pleasure to stop in at after the round. All in all a great place to spend a day!

Played On 06/17/2022Sad, Overpriced
This course has gone from a fairly enjoyable 18 hole layout, to an overpriced, and not so enjoyable 9 hole track. It is a shadow of its former self. The price my wife and I paid for 9 holes with cart, even with the Lung Book was $115, which is absurd for this course! All I can say is we will not be back.

Great day for a golf game, weather was perfect, course in great shape and pace of play was good, for a busy day.
Stopped in at the 19th hole for refreshments and dinner after the round and as usual, service and food was awesome.
Just a side note, all of the staff, on course, pro shop and restaurant are very friendly and accommodating.

Played On 05/08/2021Nicely Manicured
Although it was a cold somewhat rainy day, we had a really nice time. The course was in excellent condition and well looked after. The greens were very fast and in great shape. We look forward to playing there again, when the temperature is more moderate.
The off-course amenities were not really open due to the Covid protocols, so we did not try the restaurant, but have eaten there before and it was very nice.
It is a bit of a drive for us to get to the course, about an hour each way, but we feel it is worth it, for a nice change of pace for us old-timers.

Played On 10/20/2020Good late season shape
Although the greens had been punched about 3 weeks earlier, they were still a bit rough, which I would chalk up to the unseasonably colder temperatures which we have had this fall. But the rest of the course was in good late season shape.
The pro shop staff were as usual very professional and personable and the staff in the restaurant were friendly as is the norm for this course.
We had an enjoyable, although chilly day.

First round of the season so a little rusty, but course was in good early season shape. This course is always well maintained, so no surprise.
The fellow in the pro shop is exceptionally friendly and accommodating and was working hard to look after everybody in these trying Covid-19 times.

Played On 12/10/2019Need to upgrade club rentals!
When I called to see if they had rentals, they said yes, when I asked about quality of the rentals I was told "oh they are Callaways". Well, we didn't see any Callaways, we got some of the worst clubs you could find and paid 25.00 each for three sets. Definitely not a way to entice out- of-towners. Surely in a golf Mecca, they could supply at least mediocre clubs, not the garbage we received.
Otherwise we had a nice day and the staff were quite friendly.

Second time playing this course, this year. One improvement that affects me, is they now have a single rider rate for power carts, much appreciated, as my buddy likes to walk and I can't.
The course itself is in A-1 condition, and I do mean A-1, it was absolutely perfect from tee to green and everywhere in between. This is not a great surprise because this course is always in good shape, but this was way over the top. Congrats to the grounds staff!

Although this is an executive length course there are enough challenges to keep you interested. I have played it twice and both times it has been in great shape, especially for early in the season. The greens are large and have some undulation to them so just putting a ball on the green doesn't guarantee a two putt, but they do run true and seem consistent for speed.
The pro shop staff are very friendly and helpful as is the starter and player assistant.
This is a nice course to experience and have a fun day.

Played On 05/18/2014U.S. Open Rough
My wife and I played our round with another couple we met at the first tee. They were both members and were very friendly and we enjoyed playing with them.
Since I reviewed this course last year nothing much has changed, except the length of the rough, it was in my opinion ridiculous to say the least, time after time when one of us hit a ball into the rough we had to spend an inordinate amount of time searching for it as the balls would sink to the bottom and were almost impossible to see unless you were almost standing on them. When you have a course that is mostly played by older folks and beginners, 5 to 6 inch rough is very hard to play from and adds nothing to the experience.

I hadn't played Arrowsmith for some time as I had been laid up with an injury, but from what I remember the course condition has deteriorated from the last time I played there and we have had perfect weather this year and most courses are in peak condition.
That being said it is still an enjoyable place to go for a day of golf.
Glacier Greens Golf Club
Played On 5/9/2013Fun course, not too long, but challenging.
Course was in great condition, and is well maintained. We had a very nice day even though the pace seemed a little slow. I always enjoy coming here and always feel welcome. One criticism and it doesn't apply only to this course, cart prices are getting way out of line, I think $30 to $35 is fair, anything over is taking advantage, in my opinion.
Cottonwood Golf Course
Played On 5/6/2013Good course for a straight shooter and you don't have to bomb it.
Course is in good condition for early season. Pro shop staff are very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is good. All in all a fun place to golf and the course doesn't beat you up.
Duncan Meadows Golf and Country Club
Played On 5/3/2013Fun course, lots of elevation changes and tricky holes.
The greens had been punched recently but were puttable, otherwise the course was in very good early season condition. We had a very enjoyable day.
