The course condition is terrible. It seems the owner doesn't put much money into its upkeep. Most of the greens had raw patches in them and if you didn't land in the right spot you had to move the ball to putt on smooth grass. The sand traps are either hard, soft or there is something growing in them. There is no consistency to them. The layout of this course is really great and this could be a wonderful experience. I have been playing this course for many years and this is the worst I have seen it.

Rolling Hills is well kept and has some very interesting holes. Play can be slow at times, but most of the time it moves along. A good test to improve your irons.

Played Ken McDonald many time. This time in particular there were 2 older walking groups in front of us. They were very slow and held up the whole course. My partner and I jumped ahead and skipped two holes because we had to wait for every shot. This shouldn't happen the first thing in the morning. Maybe they should have walkers at a certain time so you can avoid the slowness.

This course is probably one of the best short courses in the Phoenix area and possibly in the whole state. It is well kept and the greens are in great shape. Some of the holes are a real test no matter what type of course it is. It's fun to play and you'll use most of all of the clubs in your bag.
