We played Mountain course in afternoon when much quieter, we got a fantastic rate of $39 and flew round in 3 hours. The course is fun to play and challenging in places off the black tees. I think next time I play I will have much better idea of how to get round the course, especially on the back 9. The two halves are very different, the front 9 being very open but on the back 9 as you head through the mountains the views are quite spectacular and some of the holes are very challenging. I would certainly recommend and will return if I get the opportunity.

My first round at SilverRock and impressed with course and general layout, they had a good selection of tees making it challenging for all handicaps.

I was not impressed by $25 ride along fee, my wife is not a golfer but she does enjoy going round the course in a buggy with me. I know many courses say they have non golfer ride along fees, this is however the first time in over 20 rounds at various courses in US it has actually been charged. I did not let it spoil an enjoyable round of golf however we did not stay for lunch afterwards as we normally do and will not be returning during the rest of our vacation. It is a pity as I did enjoy the course but there are plenty others we can choose from who will not be looking to squeeze out of us a petty $25 ride along fee.
