Stonebridge Golf Links & Country Club
Played On 11/20/2020Aeration
After a cold front a warm day brought out lots of golfers however the course had been aerated and combine that with the wind and leaves it was a tough day. The pace of play is usually okay but with the conditions people spent a lot of time looking for balls and even with a 1218 tee time we were unable to finish before dark.
Mill Pond Golf Course
Played On 10/28/2020Rain was a blessing
We thought the course might be closed due to weather but called and found there were no restrictions. There were two foursomes ahead of us and we caught them on the 3rd hole and both foursomes let us through. After that we had the course was all to ourselves and although the rain never stopped it never got heavy and conditions were good despite the rain. Gps on the carts was very convenient and the greens were in great shape albeit a little slow as a result of an all night and day rain.Attacking the pins was the call for the day and we both carded sub 80 rounds for the day where we normally would be low 80's.
Regulation Eighteen at Smithtown Landing Golf Club
Played On 09/13/2020Poor Conditions
Crab grass on most tee boxes and some fairways. A handful of greens were in good shape but most had dead spots where you were putting on dirt. Teed off at 145 and finished at 630. Won't be back until condition of course improves.
Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the poor experience you had during your visit. Please know that the current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve, and we are working towards getting things up to par. Thank you for playing Regulation Eighteen at Smithtown Landing Golf Club. We hope to see you again soon.
Port Royal Golf Course
Played On 12/12/2019Three days in Paradise
We stayed at Pompano Beach Club and our unit was on Port Royal Golf Course 8th hole. We played three consecutive rounds on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with 12 pm tee times each day The course is situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Great Sound Bay. The views of the blue and aqua waters were spectacular. The first two days the weather was perfect and we had the course to ourselves. The third day was 23 mph wind which made the course very challenging on some holes and a little easier on those with the wind at your back. The sand traps which we had heard were dirt and not sand were filled with sand because of a PGA tournament back in October and overall the course was in excellent condition. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They cleaned and stored our clubs each day and one day they picked us up by our unit and drove us to the clubhouse. They have a cart with drinks and snack circling the course throughout the round and a nice 19th hole with excellent appetizers.
