Hill Country Gem in Spicewood

Brought my clubs to Austin while visiting friends On Lake Travis in Spicewood. Lake cliff had good reviews, and the course did not disappoint. Very helpful pro on-site, the course was in excellent shape, and the greens fast. A lot of roll on drives due to dry conditions, same on approach to greens. Hard to back the ball up on these, or get a hard check. Great course challenges your shot making abilities, but you can score low if you are on your game. Great value, pretty course, lots of fun.

Woodhaven CC

This course has been private, and is offering limited tee times through Golf Now. It is only 6200 from the blues, but you need to be accurate. The course has not been overseeded for fall, and a few of the greens are spotty with thin patches or poanna grass. Overall a good course, but not up to the level of Texas Star, Grapevine, or Sky Creek.

Classic Course

Even with little rain inSeptember, the course is in good shape. Good fairways with few tight lies, greens were very consistent with no burn or weed spots.

Good value for the money, more wide open than courses with lots of trees and elevation changes.

Ontario Area Golf

I travel to the Ontario area twice per month on business. I have played Sierra Lakes, Goose Creek, Hidden Valley, and Oak Quarry.

Oak Quarry is the best course in the area. Great conditions, excellent greens, great views, and very, very tough. If you play spray and pray, then take extra ammo. If you have decent distance (240-250) off the box accurately, you can be rewarded with a fun round.

Beautiful Course

Played this course for the first time on 6/1. From the Blues it is a challenging, but fair Course. I was hitting the ball well, and still lost 3 tee shots. Drive placement is a must, and good drives result in hittable greens. Accurate iron play is a must due to elevation changes and wind.

Overall a fantastic course, very good condition, beautiful views, friendly staff. Who could ask for more?
