great course! challenging, but not unfair. lots of undulation in the fairways and pretty small greens. course is in great shape.

everyone there is very friendly. just make sure you are on time, cause they do a great job of making sure pace of play stays reasonable.

lago vista is a nice course. it's not the best maintained course in the world, but the layout is good. back 9 has some challenging holes.

bluebonnet is a decent course overall. it's wide open and pretty easy. pace of play is always great. but the best part is the greens. they are some of the best in town.

it's a fun course and definitely worth a visit.

white wing is a really nice course. the first time i played there i didn't realize it was a retirement community. i felt a little out of place being a twentysomething, but everyone was extremely friendly. the two times i've played have been very different. the first time the pace of play was quite slow, but on this day it was very fast despite being a gorgeous day.
the course is very well maintained. actually these are my favorite fairways in town. the greens are well kept and very tricky. playing from the blue tees the course is very short and not too difficult. from the gold tees it's a good challenge.
i definitely recommend this course to anyone looking for a relaxing round.

avery ranch is always a great place to play. course is in immaculate condition and it's a good balance of fun and challenge.

shadow glen is one of my favorite layouts in town. it's a challenging course, but very fair. since they reopened the course doesn't seem to be quite as well maintained, but the summers are obviously tough on golf courses here.

most of the time pace of play is fantastic, but on this particular day got caught behind a tournament on the back 9 and took 3.5 to play half a round.

not really shadow glen's fault, but left a bad taste in my mouth. wish golfnow had a warning for that.

staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

overall i recommend this course. it seems like if more people played they would have a little more to keep things in better shape. so check it out!

this is one of the best courses in austin. the 17th is a great hole. there really isn't much else that needs to be said. it's definitely worth treating yourself to the higher price point for this great course.

having played lago vista several times i wanted to try highland lakes. the layout is very nice, but it's obvious they are not running at full speed yet.

the course needs some attention, but is still very playable. great views.

downside is there is no clubhouse to speak of so it's not the most welcoming place. but if you are looking for a place to play where you can relax and not be bothered or like to play fast, this is your place. and the prices are great which goes a long way towards covering the other shortcomings.
