It's been awhile since I played here last and I was impressed with the improvements that have been made. Lots of new sod where ever it was needed, repairs to cart paths. Course was in much better condition and it was enjoyable to play. There are enough trees on the course that wayward tee shots required a price be paid for getting back into position. Recent verticut of greens is recovering well, greens rolled pretty good today. All in all, would definitely recommend the course to others and I will be back.

I find this course to be challenging. If you can control your ball, it is a fair test. However, for those of us that occasionally struggle with directional control, well then you miss in the wrong spots and it can be very penal. We played the Blue/White Combo tees at 5600 yds and with the wind, it was definitely enough. No bunkers on the course but the greens are elevated and the surrounds are contoured - doesn't bode well for bump and run approaches. Fun round, score could have been better, but will definitely be back to try again.

COVID-19 safety considerations were taken, since I was playing with another GolfNow member, I personally never interacted with staff. Big storm prior to play thus CPO was warranted, a few fairways didn't drain well. Course in good condition, greens a bit slow, but were speeding up by the end of the round. Course lacks "wow" factor, that being only negative.

Great value for hot deal price, if I lived closer would definitely play again.

Heard that course has undergone renovations and is in process of upgrading things. Overall course condition was very reasonable for this time of year. Greens are not what you would call fast, but certainly not slow. The greens were a bit bumpy, but not too bad. I played the Gator/Bobcat combo and it provided a mixture of yardages that caused me to use nearly every club in the bag. Plenty of water. For shorter hitters, no forced carries of any serious yardage to be worried about.

I was fortunate enough to get a hot deal on Golf Now that allowed me to play for $29, regular rate is $79. Rented clubs from the course and the "premium" clubs were well used, but still usable.

Was put in a foursome with 3 gentlemen, all of us about same level of play. We all enjoyed the round. Course has recently changed name, ownership and management, changes are still in place, but none affected the playability of the course.

Consistent with other reviews, this is not a resort course, views are limited, but the course is well worth playing. We had a few bad holes and got out of position - but with a little hustle we still finished in just over 4 hours.

Would definitely play again if I ever come back to Maui.

My husband is a beginner so this executive course is perfect for us. The par 3's are of varying lengths and the par 4's are long enough to be legitimate par 4's. Even for a more advanced golfer, it is great practice. For the cost ($12 each) this was a phenomenal value. Course is in decent shape for the money you pay.

Got off to a bad start at Royal Oaks with the staff there. We had a 1:07 tee time and traveled nearly an hour to get there after running other errands. Errands went quicker than expected and we arrived at course around 11:30. Staff was very strict about tee times made via Golf Now. Since we paid $22 per person, they wouldn't let us tee off early, even though there were numerous openings - because those other tee times were going for $26 pp. We left and ate lunch elsewhere, came back for our scheduled tee time. That put us behind 2 groups of elderly gentlemen who managed to play in 4:45 minutes, but it felt like forever. There was no one in front of these 2 groups and there were no rangers to help with pace of play. We also had course regulars who hit into us until I fussed at them. All in all, course was reasonable challenge, some quirky holes, but buyer be ware that low rates also means you have no idea of what to expect for friendliness or pace of play.

People that I played with said that this used to be a nice course, so that's what I had to go on. It was not in good shape and appeared to be going even further down hill.

A number of people had told me this was a really nice course, the on-line reviews were very good and this course lived up to it all. Pace of play was quick - 4 hours. Our 3-some and the one in front of us had to wait on every shot, and we still finished in 4 hours. 2 gentlemen I was paired with were very nice - they played from the blues with good wind, course played long for them. I played from the green tees (female with 12 index), and found it to be challenging but fair. Greens were quick, but they generally would hold a shot that hit the green. Looking forward to going back for another round!!!

As first time player at the course, was very glad to find that the previous reviews lived up to their billing. Course is in excellent condition and pace of play was good. GPS in carts helps tremendously with pace of play. Couple of tricky par 5's with double dog legs made being a first timer a challenge. Looking forward to going back again.
