cut it
all the fairways need to be cut to an acceptable length - there are so many water hazards on the course that it is nearly impossible to hit greens under with the fairways the length of most roughs! greens were also slow - just get out there and mow the fairways and greens so a 14 hdcp player can enjoy the round instead of being penalized on every hole because of fairway grass length

I am really glad to see that MCC is staying open as an 19 hole layout! While the course is still in need of improvement, management is doing what it takes to bring it back as one of the few semi private courses in ilm.
Looks like new irrigation system has been added and the effort is paying dividends! Fairways and t boxes are much better than a few weeks earlier. Greens, like most all in se nc are beginning to recover

mbcc is hopefully turning the corner to become a reasonably priced semi private (only one of two remaining in metro Wilmington) course. substantial improvement over three weeks prior and happy to hear that it is remaining an 18 hole course. may switch my membership to mbcc

MBCC is a great semi private course in ILM - just one of three remaining on the peninsula that allows everyday people to afford the game. Since Echo closed, it is one of the three or over the bridge to BC unless you have big bucks to afford membership at PVCC, Landfall, Porters Neck et al.
MBCC needs some work as even tee boxes are overgrown with weeds. Greens are FAST and fairways narrow so positioning shots is very important.
I played fist nine with no one in front of me and was shocked when a three some suddently appeared on 10 t box. Guess the pro shop wanted to start people on both - would have been nice had thery not done so.
Planning to go back and walk 9 or 18 and HOPE thi one survives the developer cat!

The Brick is in desperate need of improvement. An employee apparently sabotaged the 6th green and a temp green should be put in as the green itself is not playable. The same can be said for several other greens on the course.
Spend some money watering the greens in order to save them from inevitable mid late summer burn out.
I may return but not until the later part of the fall. Even at $20 the club should have been giving me a full refund!

Played On 12/10/2012on the day before playing, I stopped by the club house to confirm booking time, the guy at the desk wasn't friendly and DID NOT have our tee time
course was fun to play as we were paired with a nice fellow from Southern California. The course was wet in some places so I will be trying out other venues before deciding on a club to join
