The Views Golf Club at Oro Valley

6-21-18 First thing I noticed was there was no handicap parking at the course. There is a drop off but after the game, a long haul back to the car. The greeters were great and quite helpful. Carts have GPS but it always knows where you are and you can get dinged if you wander where you shouldn't. Announced pace of play is close to 15 minutes per hole which was fine for the front nine but a little low for the back nine. Tee times are 10 minutes apart. If you slow down you'll be pushed by the group behind you. Bottled water is supplied throughout the course. Had lunch in the hotel at the buffet. Excellent. Too many bunkers on the course. Water hazards are manageable but expect to lose a couple golf balls. Course is well maintained. Great staff. Green fees were competitive for Tucson in the summer.
El Conquistador Golf & Tennis - Conquistador Course
Played On 04/05/2018Great course
Played it on 4/5...first time in quite a while. Course in now city owned and even though it is losing money they have done a tremendous job keeping the course in great shape. Will be playing it again soon.
Yes! I'm so happy you had a great time. Please join us again.

Ventana Canyon - Canyon Course
Played On 07/14/2017WARNING
You might not know this but Ventana and probably some other courses will NOT give you credit for your Paid Online amount against your green fees. Instead, they will divide it up evenly among the members of your group giving each player some of YOUR money as an additional green fee discount. If you play Ventana be sure to know before you pay how the Paid Online dollars are to be handled. Do not pay or play until you are satisfied with how the pro shop handles Paid Online dollars.
A little clarification. I was not able to play that day so instead of refunding me which they might not be able to do they divided the Paid Online with the other golfers.
The Views Golf Club at Oro Valley
Played On 05/26/2017Restaurant problems
Course was fine, greens fast but the restaurant is not player friendly. Breakfast and lunch until 2PM. Closed 2-3 then dinner menu after 3. Food nothing to brag about.
Thank you for your review. Your comment has been passed along to the appropriate departments. We appreciate your input and hope to see you again here soon.
The Club at Starr Pass - Rattler/Coyote
Played On 12/09/2016Difficult Course
Another Tucson course designed for low handicappers but still a fun course to play. My main complaint is the number of holes that require a lay up if you are not a long ball hitter. You can count on losing some golf balls, even low handicap players. It's that kind of a course.
del Lago Golf Club
Played On 12/02/2016For Better Golfers Only
If you are a 10 handicap or lower Del Lago is a good course to play for all others it will be more frustrating the higher your handicap is.
Dell Urich at Randolph Golf Course
Played On 11/11/2015Some Disappointments
The course if fine. Go play it. However, Randolph/Del Urich held a Veterans Appreciation Day on 11-11 offering $2 burgers and $2 draft beer. They closed the kitchen at 4PM thereby locking out anyone starting play after 12 noon. The beer was only for Lite beer. Also, GolfNow doubles the fees they charge on regular bookings on their Hot Deals making that not such a Hot Deal. All in all the day was disappointing.
Arizona National Golf Club
Played On 07/09/2015Much Improved Course
AZ National under it's new management is a great course again. Fairways and greens were as good as I have ever seen them and the Friday night fish fry is still a weekly event. The summer rates are good and the tee times are plentiful.
Thank you for the nice comments! No argument from us as the course is in great condition! We hope to see you again soon!

Rolling Hills Golf Course
Played On 05/01/2015Still the best Exec course in Tucson
This course is well maintained and staffed. It has a driving range, two practice putting areas and practice chipping area and a snack bar with good food. It is semi-private but now is more open to the public. Call before going if you do not book this on a website because of te semi-private status.
Fred Enke Golf Course
Played On 04/09/2015Difficult course
One of the city's courses which they choose to neglect. Fairways need more water. Greens are ok but very fast and difficult to putt. Cart path, what there is of them, are dusty. Pluses are it is not crowded and quite affordable.
Dell Urich at Randolph Golf Course
Played On 09/24/2014Deep Bermuda
Course condition was fine but the Bermuda rough was horrible...deep and tough to impossible to get out of with just one stroke. If all fairness, though, it could be because they are preparing for reseeding and are letting it grow as matter of necessity for the reseeding. If not, then be sure to keep your shots on the fairways.
MountainView Country Club
Played On 08/13/2014Poor Management
We played there a day after a heavy rain and weren't aware that it was cart path only. The management could have had an icon inserted on the GolfNow website but didn't. We arrived early and even though there was no one ahead of us the pro shop would not let us tee off early without paying additional green fees. More poor management toward their clientele. The fairways were well groomed. The greens had recently been aerated and were not in great shape. Most of the bunkers were rain soaked and contained water so hitting into one usually cost you a lost ball. If you intend to play Mountain View after a rain be sure to call first unless you don't mind cart path only play.
Ventana Canyon - Canyon Course
Played On 06/25/2014Great Bargain, Great Course
If you don't mind the heat, now is a great time to play Ventana
Dorado Country Club
Played On 06/20/2014Same old Dorado
Not much has improved in the 10 years I have been playing at Dorado. Always promises, never action. Most fairways and some teeing areas are in need of grass. Greens are quite good. The bunkers are basically unplayable since the sand has almost completed its transformation into cement. Cart paths, what there is of them, are deteriorating. Restroom were built around 1970 and never updated. Café serves soft drinks, beer, hotdogs, a few sandwiches and microwaveable frozen sandwiches. Dorado is, however, only one of two executive courses in the Tucson area and does fill the need of short game practice.
The Views Golf Club at Oro Valley
Played On 06/16/2014A local Favorite Course
It is often windy on this course but the course is worthwhile playing for the views.
Haven at Haven Public Golf Club
Played On 06/11/2014Challenging Course but Fun
One of the flatter courses in the area with some long par 5's and par4's. Best scores will be with accurate long tee shots.
Preserve Golf Course
Played On 11/20/2013Fun course
Many holes are challenging and some not. Great layout. The Reserve is a real classy place.
Golf Club at Vistoso
Played On 11/14/2013Good course, very well maintained, greeat value
With the price and lunch included it was a great deal. The lunch was anything off the menu but be careful. Most of the items were not prepared before hand so it takes them up to an hour or more to prepare some items so if you want it ready at the turn best order it around the 4th or 5th hole or 13th or 14th if you are lunching after your round. Course was well maintained and a joy to play.
Forty-Niner Country Club
Played On 11/8/2013New Ownership
The new owner has done a fantastic job upgrading everything.
