Gleneagle Golf Course
Played On 07/26/2019Course is a hidden gem
Very reasonably priced, the course is a maze within a housing development. It’s frequent for new players to catch themselves driving in the street away from their next hole. The pace can be very slow especially if some slower paced regulars slow down the game and cannot be marshalled back to a good pace. The fairways are narrow and greens are well protected with hazards and bunkers. You can loose a few balls on this course if you’re not accurate. Distance does not override accuracy. The course is very well priced. Better than Battlecreek and much better priced. Play it
Greenacres Golf Course
Played On 05/23/2015Nice course
Not fancy, has no driving range but driving cages available. There is a driving range very close by but it t would require one to make two separate stops. Good putting and chipping practice area. Course is well maintained. Fairways are tree lined and requires good course management. It is likely you will use most of the clubs in your bag. Some par 3 are very long (196 yds from the whites). Good GPS and cell reception so you can use golf caddie app to better manage your game. On line bookings is the way to go....best rates. Would recommend this course as a pleasant course with few challenges other than accurate shots.
Grandview Golf Course
Played On 05/20/2015Cow pasture with greens
The greens are ok albeit that four were under repair the day I played. The course is not well marked and fairways are very rough. As I said, a cow pasture with greens. The course is poorly laid out. Easy to get lost between holes for a first timer. Even my GPS had a hard time distinguishing between fairways. Even though they offer good deals (can $ at par for green fees and carts), it is strongly recommended that you play center fairway or stand to loose you ball in the poorly groomed roughs. There are few challenging holes. While I used a golf cart, the fairways were so bumpy that I would have preferred to walk. Although the staff I met were very pleasant, I did not enjoy the course and regrettably would not return. Loomis Trail is close by and offers a proper golf course. It is notably more expensive but well worth it when compared to Grandview.
