Vulcan Golf and Country Club
Played On 09/24/2019Beam Me Down
Course was great fun to play and in late September it is like having your own private course with just a few members playing. Good sales in the pro shop. Downside: GolfNow double billed me with no recourse via email, chat or telephone to resolve a system error on their part with "Try Again Later" to complete the reservation.

Be careful with your shots as hazards and challenges abound. Good play making is a must on most holes. Pretty with the creek running through the course and some good maturing trees. Worth the drive!!

A nice 18 hole track with mature trees on the front nine with tight fairways for the most part. Back nine is a typical housing development but you never feel crowded by the homes. Good fun for sure . . . .

Great staff, course was in excellent condition and well maintained. You should treat yourself to some fun!
Trochu Golf and Country Club
Played On 08/19/2015Greens Are The Callenge
The course was in excellent shape and offered up a good variety of challenges. The biggest challenge was the number of greens that were sloped and pin positions almost always were very difficult. A couple of tough sloping pins is fine but not all! That being said the course is fun and that is what golf is all about! Go Play!

Right in the heart of the city this Municipal Course is perfect for walkers and riders alike. Established in 1917 the manicured fairways are lined with mature trees making your accuracy count big time. The rough is hardly a rough so errant balls are easily found but not necessarily played. Great staff and a well stocked Pro Shop with helpful C.P.G.A. professionals to assist you if required. Zero problems, zero concerns, 100% satisfied!
Highwood Golf and Country Club - Heritage/Mountainview
Played On 05/29/2015Battling Back From The Floods
Considering the devastation of the June 2013 floods the course is in really good shape. A few areas are a bit rough but really don't affect the quality of play. The Heritage 9 runs along the Highwood River for a few holes and through mature Cottonwoods making for a scenic experience. The Mountainview 9 pretty much runs through a housing development that was well thought out and plays nicely. The only negative was the indifference of the Pro Shop staff when I asked to use a demo driver. No explanation of the club and how the adjustments might have helped/hindered my game. I requested a specific flex and that was all I got. I was ready to buy but not without some information on the club - oh well.

Lots of mature trees add a nice feel to this well laid out 18 hole tract. Everything was in excellent shape. Pro Shop staff very friendly and accommodating. My wife's Service Dog (Corgi) was welcomed no problem. The Pro Shop is reasonably well stocked with quality products at competitive prices. Located conveniently on Hwy 3 on the west end of town. Traveling Hwy 3 this should be on your list of courses to play - period! Judging by the crowd of non golfers coming and going from the restaurant must attest to the quality of the fare.
Raspberry Ridge Golf Course
Played On 10/16/2014Chill Out - This Is Fun
Golf is supposed to be fun - not everyone wants to leave a course feeling like they've been in a street fight. That being said, go and have fun at this 5650 yard course. There is a lot of gray on the fairways but everyone is friendly and the pace quite good. Greens are great and quite large for this kind of course. One quirky thing is that the GolfNow reservation needs to be printed off and shown when you check in. Kinda hard to do if you are on vacation or book on short notice away from your printer or you use the Mobile App. The kind lady at the Pro Shop accepted my confirmation number. Silly rules imposed with no thought process as to practicality are hard to fathom. Go play and have fun at the Raspberry - you won't be disappointed!
Homestead Farms Golf Club
Played On 10/14/2014Come to Lynden!
The only thing missing here are elevation changes otherwise nothing is missing except you! A good test that is challenging and fair at the same time. We will be back without hesitation. Great bunker positions will make you think your approach shots carefully. This is the coast and it rains lots so there is a lot of water on this course naturally. Play in the rain isn't a big deal and the course handles it quite well.
Three Hills Golf Club
Played On 09/29/2014Water and Bridges and a Great Course
6 Bridges grace this 9 hole course with water coming into play on every hole. You had better fine tune your game for accuracy or bring a bunch of extra balls. Fairways, greens, bunkers, roadways and washrooms were all in great condition. Crisp new bronze signage was a nice bonus as well. A campground on site makes this a great over nighter in a quiet rural setting.
Dinosaur Trail Golf and Country Club
Played On 08/27/2014Bring Your A Game to the Back 9
The front nine along the Red Deer River was reasonably easy, beautiful and fun. The back nine in the badlands was extremely challenging. The views were great, the course conditions were great but an A Game was needed to card a good score. Tough describes the back nine in a complimentary way. You should seriously consider a cart if you are going to do the badlands nine - lots of elevation changes. I'd come back in a heart beat and I will return. Pace of play depends on how good a golfer you are! The world class Tyrrell Dinosaur Museum is a must and is within a mile of the course - don't miss it!
Crowsnest Pass Golf and Country Club
Played On 06/11/2014Come Prepared!
This course will challenge you with everything but an ocean view! Fast greens, wild scenery, tight fairways and the list goes on. A late spring has left the course a wee bit rough but surely not anything to affect your play unless you aren't on the fairway. Right off of Hiway 3 makes for an easy find and a great addition to any trip you are making either east or west. Room to pull in with a motor home or holiday trailer. Walking not recommended unless you are in extremely great physical shape!
Collicutt Siding Golf Course
Played On 06/02/2014A Fun Track
All around nice course to play close to a big city (Calgary) without the big city prices. Course was in spring condition and well maintained. Just off of the QE2 Highway with a huge parking lot that easily handled our motor home. Want a break from high prices?? This is a great place to play. I'll be back! Lots of water fowl to keep you entertained, driving range, good practice area - no complaints.
Coyote Creek Golf & RV Resort - Deer Nine Course

You'll have a tough time finding a better course for the price. Come prepared for a challenge.
Lee Creek Valley Golf Course
Played On 05/16/2014Be Prepared!
Wow! Great scenery, wildlife, very well maintained and full of challenges. Front nine has several tough holes and the back nine will beat you up if you didn't bring your A Game. Only drawback is the lack of a club house restaurant but snacks are available. I came to to golf and not eat so no big deal for me. Lots of elevation changes and steep hills - walking?? You had better be in excellent shape or you won't make it with out struggling. Get a cart! Make a tour and take in Waterton National Parks and it's fine course. Want more mountain challenges - head into the Crows Nest Pass and golf their course. Numerous other nice 9 hole courses in the area as well - GO PLAY!
Lee Creek Valley Golf Course
Played On 05/16/2014Cardston Challenge
A great course that is a must if you are in the SW corner of Alberta. The only thing missing from this professionally designed course was a better score on my behalf. Tricky elevation changes, water and contour variations make this a good test of your ability.
Pincher Creek Golf Club
Played On 04/24/2014Great Fun
It was cold, windy and overcast but the course was in great shape for early spring golf. As is the case often, the wind plays a big part of your ball shaping in Pincher Creek. Good fun, friendly folk and a good experience.
