Arizona Biltmore Golf Club - Links Course
Played On 12/02/2017Enjoy the Biltmore Golf Resort Experience Properly
We've stayed in Scottsdale/Biltmore area many times, this was our first chance to get on the course. For us, the experience started w/ a great setup, the scenic drive down the boulevard leading to the course. Our weather was perfect, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, even the starter was a blast cracking jokes and entertaining the crowd on the first tee. As for the course, it is a beautiful throwback resort course. We really liked the short par 3s featuring extra small greens w/ deep bunkers for protection. Some holes are typical urban-like lined w/ beautiful homes, some reach up on the hills and feature an elevated tee box experience w/ great views of the course and city. If you are looking for a fun, scenic, enjoyable golf round in the middle of the city, this is your course. ENJOY!
La Cantera Resort - The Palmer Course
Played On 08/19/2017Play the Palmer
Dear La Canterra, thanks for closing the resort course for maintenance and switching our group to the Palmer. The Palmer is awesome, I can't believe it took me years to find it. If you live in the San Antonio area, play this course. If you don't live in San Antonio area, take a trip, you will experience an awesome golf outing. A typical Palmer layout that challenges the low handicappers hunting birdies, yet also gives approachable lines for us higher handicappers struggling for par. And a hillside location that offers plenty of terrain breaks, great views of the city, and tremendous opportunities to mingle with the native local wildlife. Plenty of deer, turkeys, and other Texas creatures to keep the round interesting. I found my new favorite course in Texas. We will be back many times!
