Slow play and Marshall could care less.

Maybe because of the name, people have their noses in the air and the place is not friendly. Other Golfers will just tee off as they please since their is no starter. Two or three groups were stuck behind one slow group up ahead. I called starter and when he showed up after two calls came and said their someone on every hole. Yet pace of play mean their is not open greens and fairways in front of you. And we clearly saw people searching for balls, no taking clubs to play and simple falling behind. And of course you won't be invited to hit up on a par 3 by the group in front of you. Just plan on spending the day waiting. And looking at hills sides and no ocean.

Hardest opening hole in the Los Angeles County

This is an awesome place to play and I look forward to going back. The staff was super friendly even though there was an issue with the tee time. The pro shop staff was overly friendly giving us awesome customer service. We saw the marshal drive by 4 times checking on pace of play, and we finished our round at the perfect pace. The grass is short, so the ball rolls and many elevated tee boxes giving way to bombed drives. A few birdie opportunity holes with challenging par 3's. Even the Hot Dog at the turn was a great price and super tasty. I'm in love with this hidden gem tucked away among homes and thick old trees. Knollwood is by far the best value for the money and a course that has its defenses in full effect waiting for you to have a miss hit. Lots of birds, deer, squirrels, and rabbits giving the course the feel of a nature walk with golf clubs. Hole 9 your hitting to a super elevated green and if you miss right it will take you two shots to get back up the hill making for awesome risk reward. This course can easily be walked even in the hot heat, but I had a cart which I recommend. I even got lucky and played with a guy from the mens club and he was greatest guy I had randomly played with in forever. I'm going to join the mens club because of it. He said they play one Sunday a month and I will be coming back way more than that now.

Brings balls to lose and lots of them

This course is very difficult and any missed fairway could result in a lost balls. The views are beautiful with the course cut into the Hill side.

The old guy working the cart barn was rude and did not offer any customer service or offer ice to fill up or show us where it was. I went and got customer service from the guy working the check in inside the clubhouse. At the turn their was young guy working the cart barn who was a lot friendly

A beautiful walk near Rosé Bowl

This is a good course to play that is not very penal for wayward tee shots. Even though the course doubles as a parking lot for Rosé Bowl events, it's still in great condition. The greens are well keep, however some of the workers don't move out of the way when you tee it up or turn off machines as you play by them. I had to hit over workers cleaning an empty pond, made me feel good I hit the freeway and did not put the ball into anyone's earhole.

Lots of dog legs and lay ups.

This is the course that host the Burbank City Championship and that's a great mark to start this courses resume. The lay out is challenging with a lot of dog legs and some risk reward tee shots.
The course is cut into the mountain side so we saw deer and cool birds. Yet that means if you miss you really miss into the woods and you will lose a lot of balls however you will find everyone but yours. Also check in when your ready to go otherwise a local may take the chance to jump the tee. I will go back however I know this place plays a lot different from when the championship is being played.

2 out of 3 locals have not taken the pace of play pledge so the back nine was way slower than the front. Not inviting to hit up on par 3's or asking you to join their two some as they wait to drive a par 4 green.

Target golf set among homes.

This is a cool course that is cut between the surrounding homes. You cross a street to finish the 9-hole lay out. It can become 18 holes with the second set of tees on the same hole lay out. A very fun morning a nice walk around the neighborhood. Even with kid camps going on their was no issue of pace of play. They are doing construction and the place will only get better. I will be headed back, I hope soon.

Awesome round in great weather

This is a must play course. The fairways and greens are plush and well watered. The course requires you hit your targets to score well. Only 40 minutes from the valley, well worth it. Now one of my top 5 local courses I have played.

Great target golf, just needs some water on fairways

This turned out to be a fun round and I had the course to myself. What a Great HOT DEAL this well.

I had not been to this course in years and a lot has changed since. Maybe the city cut off their water but their once lush green practice range and fairways are now brown sadly. The green are healthily and the grass around them.

If you have a swing in your bag, you will have fun hitting targets however if your a hacker stay away. Hackers will slow the pace of play looking and losing balls not having any fun.

Yes the fairways are brown but still very playable they just need to be added into your calculation of how you attack the hole.

I will be out there again and I hope nobody else is as well again.

Par 3, when your looking for 2 hours or less not spent at the range.

This was a great Hot Deal after not having been in years. They made improvements and rerouted a few holes. For the most part the grass is green and healthy with well cared for greens. They need to improve signage on holes, I went to wrong hole a few times and get new mats. I finished a solo 18 holes in one hour and a half after some dude not having takin the pace of play pledge slowed me down first few holes before he went to a wrong hole. Well worth the money and on the top of the list for par 3's. and your clubs will have green mat stuck to them for a few days till you scrub them. Lol
