Turkey Creek is a hidden Gem

Playing Turkey Creek is always a new place, even though we play this course every year, several time. Wildlife surround the course, even with the new development. New sand has been brought in for the traps. A few trees are being taken out and T boxes are still missing used T's that are broken..
Lunch break was not good. Polish dog was rubber. Not much choice on food. Would have been nice to eat a real dog or choice. Nobody was repairing divots ahead of us. New carts arrived and we got to use it first. Lots of speed. No Garmin to help.

Staff is full of lies and horrible service from Gen Mgr and Head Pro

This is the second time they have done a BAIT and SWITCH. First was in October when I called and asked if they were still honoring birthdays since they had with the other owners. Talked to the new Gen Mrg. and arrived on time on our golf day and he charged us $95.00 PP ! When I called him on it he goes well, Here's a comp card for 2 people. No date expiring. Saved that for use on Father's day and booked our time to play and use it. I get an email day before Fathers day and the new HP cancelled my TT from 9a on Father's Day and puts us at 1p in 100* heat. I called and said somebody cancelled my TT. He say's, (Nate) that he called the new owners and would get back. Nothing. SO I called him back several hours later and said what did you find out about my 4:17a cancellation ? He was (is) still playing dumb saying he didn't do it. When you hit reply it said it came from him at 4:17a. Says he knows nothing about it and THEN makes a comment, saying, "WELL, It's a GROUPON" !!! I said , "No it's not". I told him it was from the past Gen Mgrs Bait and Switch. He tells me he's not moving my TT and see me at 1P. I told him NO ! I get another email for Him on the morning of Father's Day that my scheduled TT has been cancelled. My husband just got done with 33 CANCER treatments and early morning is best when it's not hot.

Great for walking

Walking this course can be done. The layout keeps you going on long par's and keeps you on your toes on 3's. Water is always cold at about every 4 holes. Bathrooms are set out great.

Grill is interesting. I think all Burgers should come with choice of FF or chips. Potato salad or Mac bought local could easily help out for choice. And charge a dollar more. Not two.
Staff is always awesome !
Bathrooms have not seen a toilet bowl cleaning in some time in the golf shop.
Do not be late.
Call one hour before to get through the gate for escort. It is a Air Force Base. Have your Id ready.

We saw Coyotes !

Coyote Run is a quiet course that has great play. Tricky shots over trees over lakes and creeks. Do not look for your ball if it's lost. Drop another. On cooler days bring a wind breaker you'll wish you had as the course sits onto of the plateau's of the foothills. Birds are very happy here and you can hear many of them singing.
Club house is good on the turn. Drinks open at 2p. Beer and wine are available. Snacks on the short side.
Call one hour before you arrive to have escort bring you in from the gate or you will miss your tee time.

Interesting golf course

You can only play this course if you are military, by invite or sponsored in from GC. It starts off with a nice long fairway, that is lined with tall old trees that give shade along the way. Every hole is noted with a challenge to get you on your game. Bring a few extra balls. Summer time can be HOT ! It's setting is on a plateau and so the exposure is very warm. Several of the well placed lakes make reaching the green fun to bet against your friends to see, "Who can make it". Bathrooms well placed. Cold beers on the turn !

Beautiful

While having played Nakoma's, "The Dragon", many times, it's always great to play, as each time and turn it changes like a chameleon, with beauty at every turn. That is why we play. The long 5 par's give the sloped valley's show many snow capped mountain peaks and views of sunsets that go on forever. Bring a few extra balls and your best game.
