One of Central Minnesota's Best Courses

I've played this course hundreds of times over the last 15 years and I don't know if it's ever been in better condition than it is now. Had an 8am tee time so it was still wet with dew which made the greens a bit slow. I may be a biased (former) local but I've played courses all over central MN, the state, and the midwest and KGC is hard to beat for value, fun layout, scenery, and course condition. New management this year and I think it's only going to get better. Sandy has been working here as long as I can remember and there is nobody who could do a better job. She's simply awesome at what she does, so friendly and treats everyone like a member. She knows this course as well as anyone. The pro shop is minimal but there's food and drink for during/after your round. The driving range is kept in nice shape. The practice green is small but kept consistent with what you'll see on the course. Be prepared to see some tough breaking putts on holes 3, 6, 9, 13, and 17. Hole 15 is their self proclaimed "signature hole" because of the island green, but if you hit an accurate drive on the 18th, your approach shot to the green is the funnest shot on the course. Hole 6 is the most difficult par 3 around. You will be very happy with a par. I could go on but long story short, this is a must play if you are in the area.

Always in great condition

Really fun course just outside Sioux Falls. Every time I play here the course is in great shape. If the wind is blowing it can get very difficult, choose your tees wisely. Also be aware of the rough; if they let it get a little long you better hope you're hitting it straight. It is thick and unforgiving. Bag drop and valet parking out front is nice. They moved the pro shop upstairs this year so it's a little quicker to check in and get to the range or 1st tee. Greens are quick but you'll usually find fair pin placement. I normally play Monday mornings and pace of play is great. Can't believe this course isn't busier as it's much nicer than most of the courses in Sioux Falls. You can normally come across tee time deals online which make this place an unbelievable value. I've never stayed at the hotel or lost money in the casino so I can't give them a review but the golf course is a must play for any serious golfer. Will definitely be challenging for high handicappers especially if it's windy.

Best in town

Consistently the best maintained course in Sioux Falls, this course is the best bang for your buck in the area. Fun layout, challenging green complexes, and did I mention it's always in great shape? If you have to pick one course to play if you're passing through, Willow Run is the place to play. Only down side is pace of play canbe slow. As with most great life courses around Sioux Falls, they're always busy. But I'd play here over Bakker Crossing 100 times out of 100.

Fun course, a little slow on weekends

It's a pretty fun layout. Challenging from the tips. A lot of break on several greens but fair. It's definitely a little slow on the weekends but not terrible. A little over 4 hours for a round. Water comes into play on quite a few holes. The rough isn't super long so it's not bad to play out of. For the most part if you stay out of the water you won't lose any balls.
