The Ridges is a nice place. Beautiful Clubhouse and food was good. People were very helpful.

Teed off at about 1 PM and (playing through 3 groups) was done at 3:30. Very courtious members and players. I thought it had some very interesting holes. Greens were very nice with few weeds and they were overseeding right behind me as I played. Was still a little wet from the previous week's downpour. I'd rate the overall value really nice. We just need the economy to come back some more up here on the Nature Coast.

This is a very nicely layed out golf course that is in very good condition. The bermuda greens were excellent. Tees were good. Fairways were excellent also.
Just had one problem..slow play and no way to fix it. There was no ranger to speed up play or suggest to a slow foursome to allow faster 2-somes to go around. The foursome in front of the twosome in front of me were behind by a hole and half at the turn.And it never got addressed by anyone from the club.
Like they say on the PGA broadcasts;"While we're young."
I can understand an occasional slowness, but this was just not right. I just can't understand a 4.75 hour round of golf in the middle of the week at 1PM.
Don't get me wrong, I will return to Southern Hills Plantation and Golf Club. It's too nice not to come back.

This is a very nice golf club. The cart paths are the only drawback. A little bumpy but mostly avoidable. 8 years after a recession causes things like this. Lack of revenue... The golf course itself, was in very good condition. the greens were a little (only a little (maybe 8.5 on stemp) ) slow but true, But then I've been up north where they are all bent. Very few weeds anywhere cept the rough. That's the way it's supposed to be. There should be a premium for being in the fairway and on the green.
All the staff were excellent!! Very nice and friendly. Really nice practice area, too.
Over all, I give it 4.8 stars.

1st time and wish their winter hadn't been so bad. Over all the course was in very good shape for the winter they had. I was paired up with a couple and the ladies brother. Very nice people from here. The greens were a little bumpy, but it's early in the season and they will improve. Very nice layout..

It's a good place to go work out some kinks in your golf game. Almost never crowded and if it is you can't get a cart.

I always try to play Queen's Harbour when in Mayport. It's a very good layout, tho it's always been in better condition than this time. The greens were a little slower than ever before but they were still running about 9.5. There are some areas near the entrance and exits to the cart paths from the tees and back to the cartpaths. Bumpy...getting on and off the paths.

Overall, I'd have rated Lady's Island Club much higher, but for the bumps on the cartpaths and in the fairways. The carts have windshields, but they are discolored. You can't see the bumps coming while riding down the fairway. But that is the only problem I saw. They are redoing the clubhouse and that will be a plus also.

This is a very nice golf club. If I lived around here I'd join it.
The tees were very nice. The fairways were very nice and the greens were running pretty good, also. The staff was very friendly. As is my habit as a single player, when I got held up, I fixed ball marks, divots and raked a few bunkers that hadn't been done by other players. But that's just Southern Hills small benefit from allowing me to play through golfnow.com.

From the blue tees this course is rated at 70.9. It's much harder than that. But it's a fun course to play and it really looks good to the eye. Tees were a 9, fairways a 10 and greens a 10. Liked it so much, we're bringing a couple of friends to play it again today.

I guess I waited too long to go back to Butternut Creek. Last time I was there was over 3 yrs ago and what a drastic change to "really nice" from average. The greens are super. The fairways are the same. The rough is a little rough, but that's why they call it "Rough". Have to admit, for a "muni", it was wonderful. The people in the pro shop and out by the carts were very helpful and respectful.
A real pleasure to be there.

When in town, I always make it to Brasstown Valley. The greens had been aerified Mon and Tuesday, but it wasn't bad. Rolled out pretty well for just having done it.
As I always do, I fixed at least 3-4 ball marks on each green and put out two buckets of sand filling in the few divots I found. I figure it's the least I can do for them opening up the place to golfnow. What a great deal.
The tees and fairways were perfect. The greens had been punched, but it was still ok. Glad I went. When I got there is when I found out they had been airified. I usually look closer when I sign up, but the price was so good, I didn't care.
Another 4 days and you won't even know they did it.

They had a hard rain in the early AM and we played at 12:30. There were a couple of wet spots in the rough, but it was still very playable. Greens were very nice, but a little slow..

The new greens (1 yr) are great!! Not a weed on any. Fairways were really nice, too. Rough was a little bumpy, but that's to be expected when a place has been there this long and the rains they've had.
Overall, nice track. Played with 3 strangers, and they were great!!!

It was a great value for the money. Fairways were very nice. Bunkers were a little tough because of all the rain, but it was a great time..

I've been playing golf since 1958. This is the best Muni I've ever had the pleasure to play. Add in the Rock Ridges, outcroppings and Virgin River, and you have a wonderful photo op. But the Golf Course was maintained wonderfully. The staff indoors and out were very hospitable and very nice while doing it.

Fun to play. Needs red stakes to define the really thick grass and hay between the fairways. Or maybe a bush hog? DTees are supe, faiways are nice as heck for so early in the short growing season, and the greens are getting faster.

Would have rated it a little higher but the tees on the back had been plugged, fairway grass was quidte long for a Monday and had been spiked. Should have made use of the website to let people know that there was some aerafication. Over all..a solid 4. It's a well layed out course and I did enjoy it..

The greens had just been punched about 1 1/2 weeks ago. Greens were quick, just a little bumpy. I'll definatly be back!!

Nice layout. Too bad the greens were so slow. They mowed the greens with 3 reel mower that only had the two outside reels working and it looked like some artwork by Andy Worhal..And way too slow. Fairways were quite bumpy.
Not a great value for $31.
