Greens are pretty good. Fairways, fair. Tee boxes are terrible. Driving range, terrible.
Rates are kept high due to location near Napa, and it's over reliance on Vineyards for tourism.
But the grapes hopefully bring in more than the golf.
Tee boxes have a large High spot in the middle, causing that area to be over used.
Flatten out you tee boxes. And take better care of them.
Some bunkers are being rebuilt. A Very expensive project.

Nice fairways with penalizing rough.
Greens are always in Very Good condition.
Can get breezy in the afternoon.
Nice Bar and Grill. Very reasonable rates, food is also very Good.
Tough dog legs on the back 9.
Very Good/Demanding finishing hole.

The course is in very good condition, considering the flooding this winter.
The layout forces you to play many different shots both off the Tee and into the greens because of the mature trees, lakes and dog legs.
A very challenging course.
The driving range is in rough condition, but always has been.
Oncourse rest rooms need help too.
The course conditions continue to improve daily, and I will return to play again. (1 hr. drive for me)

Best par 3 course anywhere.
I'm a single digit handicap, and have played many different courses throughout the country.
Played this one from the Blue tee's, during cool, windy conditions and found it to be very difficult.
Beautiful course, with lots of well placed bunkers, many greens have lakes in front, or alongside.
Undulating fast greens, but True rolling.
Bring extra golf balls, as many of the holes are also around 200 yards from the Blue tee's, and demand very accurate shots.
Par is a good score on these holes.
You might want to play this course up one set of Tee's the first time you play it.
I will be back and play it again.

Not long, but trees and water come into play on many holes.
The greens were a little slow, but that was a good thing. As some of the smaller greens are very undulated.
Very nice driving range and practice green.

I've played the course many times. I do like it. It has been looking better up until this week. The greens on the back nine were almost dead, Very Dry, cracks developing. They were very Hard and would not hold a shot. (Not even a high shot)
New golfers view the course as easy, as it is Not long, However this course is very narrow, and can play Hard and Fast. (causing many new golfers a lot of trouble/lost balls) Which, causes SLOW play due to searching for lost balls.
There is No Marshall to watch the pace of play.
Water the Greens.
While I'm at it, fix the fairway mower.and
Fix the Tee Box Mower.

Very good course to play (as long as you have played it before). The golf cart was amazingly SLOW. The GPS graphics where Poor (at best). Which normally I would not care about, but it was my first time playing the course. So we were forced to drive ahead and scout out the layout of the fairway, as there are many Hazards (Lakes/Bunkers/Canals and ravines) to avoid, and plan your shots for.
Our group was slow to begin with (High Handicappers) who were too polite to play Ready Golf. Adding to the fun.
Greens are fast and true. many with False fronts.
The course must have been rerouted, as there is a new clubhouse being built, and 18 ends in the middle of nowhere.
I did break 80 and would play the course again,

If your going to pay this much for a round of golf, Go to Yocha DeHe instead, it's much better, the employee's have much better attitudes and they are actually Happy to see you.
At Yocha the greens there are much better, the Driving Range is much Better. The practice facilities are much better.
Wente just treats everyone like Cattle.
Wente is close to home and has a nice layout, That's about it.

All fairways are tree lined, (Big, Big Trees) Beautiful course in Great condition. Keep it straight off the Tee, or you are looking at bogie or worse. Greens roll true, many birdie possibilities if you can keep it straight. Love this course.

How is it that 10 yards from the Tee box the grass is Tall, Lust and healthy, BUT the Tee Box is DRY, BROWN with DEAD grass (If any at all) on 5 to 6 holes????
Doesn't anyone go out and take a look at the course every week or Two ??
Does the guy mowing the fairways and Tee Boxes NOT say anything??
Are the sprinklers BROKEN ? Google it....
Do you NOT Know how to ask GOOGLE how to grow grass??

Everyone knows there are water issues, water the Tee Boxes and NOT the ares around them.

Years of poor management are hard to hide. Even with revenue issues there is NO excuse for large bare patches in the middle of fairways. Does any of the management team ever go out and look at the coarse? Is it acceptable to have dirt fairways? The weeds have trouble growing. Does anyone know how to fix/adjust sprinklers?? Where there was once rough on the sides of the fairways is now All hardpan...The greens were so bumpy I could see the group in front of us, their putts hopping around on the green from 165 yards away on a par 3. Very disappointed. Sad to see. I would pay twice what I paid if you kept up the coarse.

Apperently there is only one guy who knows how to operate the mower and he's been on vacation for a week.
If he comes back this place will be great.

Only able to get complete 13 holes in 4 hours...... They are starting to improve course conditions with new sod areas which were bare before. (On the first 13 holes that I saw)

The driving range has been removed. There was no food available at the turn, Some bare spots on greens. Great course for beginers. Great deals on golf now.

Grass Driving range, but Irons only. Started on hole #11. Holes 10-18 kind of Plain Jane, wide open fairways not much trouble. Holes 1-9 much more interesting. Par 3's all seemed to be a six Iron. Some elevation changes throughout the course. No wind and Accessable Pin locations today. Golfnow saved the day with a great rate...

Old style (1960's), flat golf course, some trees,some water, slow greens,fairways could be mowed a bit shorter, Way Over priced if you cannot book via Golfnow... Good course for brginners.

Played with 2 beginners, and 1 member. 1 beginner could only play 2 holes before just riding in cart the rest of the day, other beginner went thru over 2 dozen golf balls.The Member had an off day and quit after 9 holes (lost 5 balls). Bring your "A" game to this course and don't be afraid to play up a Tee box untill you have played it a few times... Lots of 100 yard (plus) carry from the Tee boxs. A few blind Tee shots. Elevation changes all over. Lots of risk/reward shots. Great course. And a little pricey still.
