I had heard quite a bit about the course but haven't played it before. Unfortunately, it is hard to be very objective since the greens had been aerified within the last two weeks and consequently they were bumpy and slow. I have to believe that had that not been the case they would have been more receptive and easier to putt and also more controlled by the contours of the green. It was still enjoyable and I will play it again.

Hard not to be distracted by the Blue Ridge. Great layout and extremely receptive greens. A lot of elevation which adds distance to even the shortest holes.

The housing community around the course has grown greatly but does not impinge on the course or play. The greens were great and fast.

Sped around the first 5 holes until we ran into a group ahead - they left after they finished on Heron. We then played IBIS in under 2 hours.

Greens in great shape. Greens held nicely and putted pretty true. The pace was good for this course which has been slow at other times that I have played here. The rough can be difficult - pretty gnarly, steel wool type especially if not recently cut.
