Woodington Lake Golf Club - Legacy Course

Played On 09/06/2022Remington Parkview Golf and Country Club - Upper
Played On 09/14/2016Nothing special.
If you plan to warm up before the round, they have a very small driving range. You use your own balls to hit. The longest club you can hit is a pitching wedge.
A didn't find many holes interesting to play. After my round I played a few holes on the backside of the Valley course. I would agree with the previous comments that it is a better layout then the Upper Course. In my opinion, it's not overly challenging. The Valley holes are much shorter in length.
The best part of the course are the greens. They were in very good condition and you had to be accurate with your iron shots into the holes.
Cardinal Golf Club - West
Played On 09/02/2016OK course
This was the first time I played the course. The conditions were very good, particularly the greens.
Other than a few holes, the pace of play was decent.
Legends on the Niagara Golf Course - Battlefield
Played On 08/31/2016Wonderful Course!
This was the first time playing any Niagara golf course. I will definitely be back to explore the other courses in the area.
What really impressed me of this course was the condition ... pristine!!! The tee blocks were immaculate and you would be hard pressed to find many divots in the fairways.
If you are one of those golfers who sometimes plays blues or whites, I would play the whites unless you warmed up before the round and felt confident on the range.
Lastly, consider playing an extra club on some of the greens. You really don't notices some of the elevation until you look back at the fairway.
Wonderful review, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback.
Victoria Park East Golf Club
Played On 08/24/2016Ok course
I was greeted very well in the pro shop. Unfortunately, I didn't arrive early enough to use the nice driving range.
I would recommend waiting about a week before playing the course because the fairways were just aerated, and the greens were done last week and had a lot of top dress on them.
I can't say there were any memorable holes, but I couldn't knock many of them. My only complaint was that the course took 4 3/4 hours to play and there was no marshal to be found.
Bathurst Glen Golf Club
Played On 07/26/2016Horrible & Cheap Golf Course
I only have two things to points to emphasize:
1) You pay for what you get
2) If you don't have anything good to say, then don't say anything.
Lakeridge Links Golf Course
Played On 07/11/2016Ok, but to long to play
Warning .... If plan to play Lakeridge Links be careful of the radar trap as you go north on Lakeridge Road between Hwy 7 to 407 bridge. For less than 30 seconds it becomes a 60km zone. Once you go over the 407 bridge it reverts to 80km. Oddly enough going southbound in that same spot is 80km zone.
As for the course ... nothing special. The greens were ok, but there were many ball marks particularly on the par 3's. If you plan to warm up on the practice range before the round the cost is $6 for 30 balls. The range grass isn't great and be prepared to hit a few "Maxfli" balls. The course gives off the appearance of being cheap. For example, the ball washers don't even have towels. If they do, they are old and torn. If you are lucky, some ball washer might have a hook for the towels. The course also needs to improve the grass on the tee blocks. Surprisingly, the pace of play was slow considering the course didn't look busy. On a few occasions there were three groups on one hole. It took over 4 1/2 hours to play, and we didn't see the marshal until we hit our tee shots on the 18th hole. My advice, only play there if you get a very good price to play.
Cardinal Golf Club - East
Played On 07/06/2016Pleasantly surprised
In the past, none of my friends had anything nice to say about the course (nothing bad either). As a result, I wasn't expecting much. I was just happy to get a round of golf in at a reasonable price.
Considering all the dry weather we have had, Cardinal is the "greenest" of all the public courses I've played so far. You can tell they spend money on their course. Don't get me wrong, there are a few dry or dead spots, but overall the fairways have green to them, and the putting greens were great to roll on. I was also like to add that the course also has spent money on very nice golf carts. A large display screen for each hole and the carts themselves were strong & sturdy.
I also liked that the holes had some elevation changes to them. The staff working the carts and starter area were friendly. I would definitely go back to try the west course next time.

Granite Ridge Golf Club - Cobalt
Played On 06/30/2016Just OK
This was the first time I played the course. I would suggest playing from the blues at the whites seem to easy.
The fairways and greens were in very good condition (although there were a few ball marks on the greens), but the tee blocks were at times hard and looked like crab grass.
The pace of pay was less than 2 hours on the front, but more than 2 on the back.
Can't knock the course itself, but there aren't any memorable holes to encourage me to come back.
Oliver's Nest Golf and Country Club
Played On 06/24/2016Nice course
This was my first time playing Oliver's Nest. I expected a little more, but I wasn't disappointed. The course is in good shape, especially the greens, but I can't say that there are many memorable holes. It's nice that the first few holes are forgiving off the tee. If you can get there early I would advise warming up on the large grass tee driving range.
Shawneeki Golf Club
Played On 06/23/2016Ok course
It's been over 15 years since I played the course. It you can get there early, take advantage of the grass tee driving range. I thought the best part of the course were the greens. They were in excellent shape. I can't say that there are any memorable holes.
Newcastle Golf Course
Played On 09/04/2015Very Dry & Bumpy
Other than the greens the course played very hard. It was uncomfortable to ride in a cart because the fairways were very bumpy.
The pace of play got slow on the back nine around the 13th hole.
The staff was friendly. Other than the conditions of the greens the rest of the course wasn't in good condition.
Bethesda Grange Golf Course
Played On 07/24/2015Good value to play a well conditioned course
It's been over 10 years since I played the course. A definite improvement since they did the renovations a few years ago. The fairways and greens are in excellent condition.
One of the challenges of playing a course like this is that you often get paired up with other golfers who don't speak English or are on willing to be friendly.
It would be nice if they created a hitting net so that you could loosen up before starting your round.
I would definitely come back if the price was right on Golf Now.
Winchester Golf Club
Played On 08/11/2014You pay for what you get!
Other than the putting greens you can tell that very little money has been put into the course ... especially the tee blocks.
I would not play this course unless you get a good deal or unless the course isn't that busy. At least you can pay two or three balls and practice.
Bradford Highlands Golf Club
Played On 08/07/2014Expected more
I expected more from the course after reading the reviews.
I couldn't pick any hole as a signature hole.
The tee blocks we're beat up and uneven.
If you can get at a cheap price then try the course, but not worth the drive.
Whispering Ridge Golf Course
Played On 07/18/2014Good condition
It was the first time playing the course. For the price I paid at Golf Now it was worth the value.
The fairways & greens were in great shape.
Played little slower than I anticipated.
Golf range balls need major upgrades. I'm surprised they haven't gotten rid of balls with cuts in them.
Lionhead Golf and Country Club - Legends
Played On 07/10/2014Great shape
It's been over 10 years since I played the course. It won't be another 10 years to play it again. The course was in excellent condition...greens little faster than they look.
