SunRidge Canyon Golf Club
Played On 06/27/2021Really good course
A little longer and harder than I’m used to but very enjoyable. Lots of cross fairway ditches/washes. You need to really think your way around. Played in 3:45 on a Sunday. Those last few holes are really something - the wicked six - all uphill. Fun outing.
The Country Club at DC Ranch
Played On 11/05/2016Great Experience
The staff greeting you from the parking lot to the golf shop are extraordinary. Excellent new carts take you onto a beautiful lush course. The layout is very playable for mid-teen handicap but the course can be set up to be very difficult, even for pros who play U.S. Open Qualifier here. The views from the mountain on #14 are breathtaking, but the views up into the McDowell Mountains from 8, 9, and 12 are even better. Wonderful on-course amenities - coolers with drinks, cold towels in summer, and very good food/drink cart. Excellent food after you play. The course is really a treat in a Valley full of excellent courses - the staff at DC Ranch makes the difference - super place to play!!
McDowell Mountain Golf Club
Played On 10/11/2016McDowell was great - GolfNow was not
First, I must say that GolfNow did not warn me that the course was cart path only. In fact, the printout from GolfNow specifically stated that carts 90degrees was the condition. When I got to the course, they told me the truth.
The course is very playable - the greens were exceedingly slow - just coming out of overseeding - they had not been cut or rolled.
But it is a wonderful golf course - very playable for a 14 handicapper and my friends who were 20+. The staff couldn't have been nicer - friendly, helpful and welcoming.
This is a real gem in the Valley.
TPC Scottsdale - The Champions Course
Played On 10/09/2016I guess I didn't read the fine print
When we got to the course, the bag drop guys said nothing about course use, the folks in the shop said nothing about course use, and the first time we heard the course was cart path only was when we got to the starter. I am 70 years old and on a warm day cart path only is not wonderful. The grass is coming in but really not ready for prime time - it is very thin and there are lots of holes in the grass.
The course plays a little long for me - but most do. I like the layout - I've played it before and enjoyed it. But the cart path restrictions should have been made clear BEFORE we paid.
Monument at Troon North Golf Club
Played On 10/06/2015Spectacular Course
The Pinnacle course is fantastic. I would have been happier with Golf Now had they told me that the driving range was closed and the course was playing cart path only. But we had a great time - because there was no one in front of us, we played in just under four hours. The course is not for beginners - and we played copper tees - but it is playable and beautiful and a real pleasure to play.
Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback following your recent round on the Champions Course.
I apologize for the lack of communication regarding our post-overseeding cart policy. Providing a first rate experience and meeting your expectations are very importance to us. We should have notified you several times about CPO prior to your arrival.
We will be in CPO mode on Champions through the end of October. I hope we can provide an improved experience next time you visit TPC Scottsdale.
Thank you,
TPC Scottsdale Management
