Great weather for golf, great pairing with another twosome, but the greens had recently been sanded without warning on golf.now. Otherwise, the course is in great shape, and the greens will probably be perfect in about 3 weeks.

It had been a while since I have played Shingle Creek, but I will be back soon. Although the greens had been freshly punched and sanded, which Golfnow warned us about, the rest of the course was in great shape. The vegetation/lakes/trees/landscape is very well laid out and well taken care of. Certain holes are a bit challenging. We played from the blue tees, and there was one 450 yard par 4 which seemed a bit long. Yet, there as a 250 yard par 4 that we drove to the green and managed a birdie. Very interesting layout that will challenge even the skilled golfer.

The layout at El Campeon is exceptional, allowing for wonderful vistas on several elevated tee boxes. The course plays tougher than the slope indicates, but even though it is tough to play to your handicap, the course ambiance more than makes up for a higher score than expected. Be sure to take the extra club, as most of the greens are elevated and play longer than the yardage indicates. And, be sure to bring a distance finder, since the carts do not have GPS.

The course conditions were spectacular. Greens moderately fast and true, fairways and tee boxes nicely manicured. This course plays pretty forgiving, given the wide fairways and large greens. One of my favorite courses in Central FL.

Dubsdread keeps exceeding my expectations in terms of course condition and management. Although this course is short, it is tight in places and will challenge even handicap golfers. The layout of the course weaves through the eclectic college park neighborhood. Each hole is unique in its challenges. Lastly, this course is a great value course. The City of Orlando has continued to show that it will protect this almost 100 year old gem.
