Apple Mountain Resort
Played On 02/27/2016Fun Course
Apple Mountain at first glance seems to be an easy course. The greens have a lot of breaks and when freshly cut are fast. Over the years since I started playing here, the pine trees have grown considerably taller and come into play much more than the previous year.
There is little tough roughs and hardly any deep grass. Lost balls is unusual but if you put it into trees a chip out is the only way to avoid high numbers.
The staff is very golfer friendly and do whatever they can to accommodate the players.
There is a decent practice area here with bunker and chipping green along with a nice putting green.
It is my course of choice day in and day out. Don't play there please. I'm trying to keep it a secret. lol

The weather was hot but the course was great. Greens were true and moderately fast. The Chestatee river meanders though this valley course and comes into play on many holes. Some par 4's are driveable if you are a long hitter. I'm not...but it makes for a short wedge shot. I made a couple of long putts for birdies but the water took its toll also.
Great golf and the views are wonderful.

Stay focused on each shot and give yourself room if you tend to slice very much. It is challenging so play from the tees which suit your game. No shame in moving one set forward.
Chicopee Woods Golf Course - Village Nine

The new Bermuda greens were slow today but can be very fast. 27 holes of varying degree of difficulty. Some par 4's are drivable but the mill has a 200+ par 3. A bogey there is acceptable.
