I play this course so I can get a round in in 3 hours— check. The course is not in very good condition, though. Tee boxes need work. If you wander out if the rough you will likely not find your ball much less hit out of the hazard. Many of the traps were overgrown with grass and weeds and were filled with water. Most of the greens were in good shape. I know they are doing their best with a limited maintenance budget.

Loved playing Cobblestone today. Every hole is beautiful. The fairways and greens were pristine. Some of the tee boxes need some work but not an issue compared to the rest of the course. Definitely one of the nicest non-country club courses I have played in Georgia.

Greens were really rough. Tee boxes were grassless. Some of the cart paths were almost impassable. I wasn't sure if I was going the right way to get to the eighth hole. Then, the tee box on that hole was not obvious. I figured I'd try the course since I'm recently retired and have time to drive to courses that are farther away. I probably won't return because the course was in such bad shape. It is unfortunately. It seemed like it is one of those courses that has limited funding to maintain the course.

This is another public course that is suffering from lack of funds. I think they are doing their best with their limited budget to maintain the course. However, there are a lot of shortcomings:
- Tee boxes are not well maintained. Hard to sometimes find a level spot tee it up.
- The water coolers were misssing.
- A lot of bare areas that should be longer grass/rough.
- Poor drainage in a couple areas -- especially the 10th hole where I had to leave my ball in the middle of the fairway for fear of sinking up to my knee in mud (to be fair, we've had a lot of rain the last few weeks but the rest of the course was pretty dry).

Positives:
- Greens were in pretty good condition.
- Interesting layout.

The course is in great shape except the greens which were being aerated— that’s why we got a great deal for our round. In a couple weeks the greens will be just like new. You need to keep the ball in bounds else it is a goner. Off the rough is usually overgrown and a lost ball. The course has an interesting layout— the uphill holes are really tough. You have to be able to carry those holes 240 to avoid hitting from an incline.

Stone Mountain has been struggling the last couple years to maintain certain parts of the course. Many of the greens still have sections of grass that are dead or are under repair. It is disappointing that they can't make the needed investment to repair and fix greens.

I hate to bash a golf course. A hot deal lured me to this course. The staff was really helpful and friendly. However.... They have a net instead of a range for warming up. Then, I discovered that the greens are in terrible condition-- tire marks, dead grass and weeds. Speaking of weeds, the traps were not maintained and were also growing werfpds. The course was generally not well maintained. The ball washers didn't have towels, the greens were long or in really poor condition. It is obvious that the course is having a tough time financially. On a positive note, I was able to finish my round in 3:15 and enjoyed my best score ever.
