Played On 10/03/2015Nice Challenge, Lots of Elevation Changes
A bit of a departure from the mostly flat courses found in Destin. Similar to a typical muni, although the greens were in better shape. A lot of elevation changes make for a fun alternative to the generally flat layouts you find elsewhere along the coast. We played from the middle tees (about 6400 yds), which is a little longer than the other tracks we generally play. Unfortunately, the next set only measure 5500 yds. Some of the fairways were a little ragged, but we played in the afternoon for $30, and the course is an excellent value at that price. I'd definitely play it again.

First time to play this course. Overall all a good experience. Interesting layout, particularly on the back nine. First hole south of the highway (#13?) is all uphill. Overall a nice course, but some of the greens were in rough shape with bare spots and some invasive grasses.

Generally nice layout. Greens in great shape, nice pace, sculpted but fair. Fairways and bunkers could use a little better maintenance but really doesn't inhibit play. Older course that was probably top notch in its day, but still worth the price.

Played On 10/12/2013Great course, but how about some amenities!
Excellent course, beautiful and well maintained. A very nice layout, and the only reason I don't rate it higher is that there is no hole information, ball washers or drinking water on the course. On a hot day, it's tough. I suppose they want to force you to buy their concessions, but the green fees are ample, and should be sufficient to provide some amenities.
Nice Value
Course has some vertical relief, which is a nice change from the typical coastal layout. Seems to have some drainage issues, and was soggy the day we played. All in all, one of the highlights of our annual trip to Destin.
Windswept Dunes Golf Course
Played On 10/8/2012Dry conditions, lack of attention to detail.
Course was in need of some water. Greens were very hard. Every on-course ball washer was dry.
