slow, set-up terrible for higher handicappers

I do not love this course. It's not great value for the money. Greens were good but the fairways are perpetually soggy due to drainage issues and pace of play is terrible. One of the reasons pace of play is so bad is because they let the rough around the tee boxes grow unreasonable high (maybe this is bc it's "Preserve"?).. so, if you miss hit a tee shot short you likely look for the ball with no success and drop a stroke. this make pace of play very painful and for a low handicapper, your going to spend all day on the course waiting = no fun. On top of all this they charge $65 for a round. There are tons of courses in the area for less $$ that are much better layout and conditions.

Overpriced and slow

First off, I have played this course 20-30 times over the years.. I have never loved it but this last time just ticked me off because it was so slow.

• Wet – this course does not drain well and many areas of the course and are unplayable most of the year. Do not play if it has had rain within 48 hours.
• Expensive – while the greens a good, the playing conditions a rarely ever great.
• Rough around the tee’s penalize mid-high handicappers – 12’ rough around the tee boxes only penalizes the high handicapper and of course slows play down tremendously. If a ball falls out of your pocket on the way to the tee box it’s gone. Really doesn’t make since to me.. Mow down the rough around the tee boxes to speed up play. You are a an average public course for goodness sakes.

slow back 9

Front 9 - 1.5 hrs. Back - 2.5 hrs.. The course started 4 groups on the back right before we made the turn. We waited the rest of the day.
