It’s a tough course, but conditions were wet, and need some mowing and reseeding. The pace was very slow and we had to wait on every hole.

They knew we had two kids with, ages 5 and 7, and we’re ok with it. These kids have been on lots of golf courses and know the rules. We waited on almost every hole for those in front of us, and still got accused of holding things up. It wasn’t us. Then got chewed out for having them out there until we told them we wouldn’t be back. By the way, we finished our round in four hours.

After golfing at several other courses around the area, we found the condition at the White Heron was one of the best in the area. Biggest problem for us was not knowing the course and all the water. Will come back when we are in the area again.

The tee boxes were in great shape, and the greens were good. Not as fast as back home though. Most of the fairways were fine, however you could see they are a work in progress. My biggest concern was that the woman's tee boxes were too far back on some of the holes. I don't have the strength to get over the ones where you had to hit over the wide caverns. Back home they are at least where I have a chance to make it over.

It was very hot out there, but they had nice and cold water on the course. Some of the hills to the greens are tough if you have a hard time walking. We had some slow play on the back, it was only 2 some, but were very slow. Lots of water hazards on the course.

The greens were not as good as a year ago. They were reseeded, but left putting uneven. The fairways were brown and hard to hit off of. It was hard to know how to hit the ball because of what was under it. It had made a lot of progress in the past couple of years, but now had gone backwards.
