Riverview Golf and Country Club
Played On 08/03/2021Nice Surprise
Course was in great shape, generally.. Some of the cart paths could use some work. Overall, the front nine Is quite flat, open but quite long. The back nine is totally different: undulating, varied but shorter.
Scenic Woods Golf and Country Club
Played On 09/19/2018Just OK
The golf course was in reasonable condition, given our extremely hot/humid conditions this summer. The cart paths were NOT! Many very rough and pot-holed sections to a point that the riders were severely jarred and shaken even at a snail's speed. So I could only recommend the course now to walkers only.
Rockway Vineyards Golf Course
Played On 06/12/2018Better Than Previous
We hadn't played here for a few years and were quite nicely surprised by the conditions/playability of the course. All staff were very helpful and friendly. The only negative was the extreme slowness of the foursome in front of us. Thankfully they quit after nine! A course marshall would have helped, I'm sure.
Southbrook Golf and Country Club
Played On 08/22/2014A Good Course for Most Golfers
This is a fairly typical course for this area. It can play a little, particularly if there is a significant wind, as a lot of the longer holes are into the prevailing wind. The course surface was quite hard and could have been watered more regularly. The tee blocks were very hard. The greens were quite good and of a good speed, but not super fast.
Bridgewater Country Club
Played On 08/05/2014Good Overall Golfing Experience
This is a private course near the US border, so it gets players from both Canada and the US. While it is quite flat, there are some very interesting holes. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The greens were all in great shape, particularly given a lot of recent rain. They also were very tricky and difficult to read.
Although this was a "Hot Deal", the additional fees were exorbitant.
Dunedin Golf Club
Played On 02/28/2014overpriced
Very disappointing golfing experience. Partners wanted to play here since they had played here before. So I expected much better. The greens were quite good, but that was it. Fairways, particularly on the back nine, were terrible!
Chippewa Creek Golf and Country Club - Red Falcon/Gold Eagle
Played On 5/3/2013Course is just too wet yet...!
Overly wet conditions made the couse unable to mow because of water-logged turf (fairways, rough and greens). Greens bumpy, also because of lack of spring maintenance."Cart Path only" required was quite justified, BUT it was not enforced. Also no marshall on the second nine, so play was slow!
Painted Mountain Golf Club
Played On 04/02/2013nothing special
Pro shop staff were quite friendly but the starter could have been more informative. Course was a good layout with good variety and some water that came into play on a few holes. While most of the water hazards were quite attractive, one was virtually a cesspool!
The course fell well short of what was expected, based on the picture on their website.
Las Colinas Golf Club
Played On 03/31/2013The course was in very good condition, compared to others in the area.
We booked this course for Easter Sunday and paid the weekday twilight fee, which made it a great deal. While it had a variety of hole layouts and some water hazards, it was fairly easy to play. The female starter was quite good, as was all the staff we encountered.
Empire Springs Golf Club
Played On 10/22/2012Wide open and flat
This course is too new with lots of uneven/bare turf.
Water on several holes is the only challenge.
Greens are the best feature of this course.
Greens at Renton - Blue Nine
Played On 8/6/2012Great deal for Ontario
An excellent course for the average golfer and good value for Southern Ontario. 27 hole course with a good variety of holes- bunkers, traps and hazards without being too challenging. Good pro shop and clubhouse facilities. All staff are quite friendly and helpful.
