No mention of the course conditions when I booked on GolfNow. Had I known the condition of the course I certainly would not have paid $65 to play there

Great course
I loved the course with one exception. The sand traps were pretty bad. They basically had no sand in them and played like hardpan. I discussed this with staff after the round and was advised that the extreme winds the sand just doesn’t stay in the traps. Other than that, the course was fantastic... guess I should stay out of the traps.

Thank you for the review and comments regarding your round of golf at SilverRock. During this time of year, golf courses in the Coachella Valley go through a process called transition. This transition is the process where the cool season grass (over seeded) begins to fade out as the temperatures reach into the 100’s. As the cool season grass fades, the Bermuda grass (warm season base grass) remerges. This process of warm season grass filling in where the cool season grass fades away is called transition. At SilverRock, this transition usually begins in June and typically (depending upon weather conditions) by the end of August, the course will have completely transitioned. We recognize the turf conditions may not be prime during this time and as a result green fee rates are reduced significantly. It's important to note, the golf course is not diseased nor neglected, this is a normal process and occurs every summer. Again, thank you for taking to time to provide feedback and we hope to see you back at the Rock!
