Palm Beach Golf Course
Played On 07/30/2015Great Scenery, Average Golf.
Let me start by saying that I am not a huge fan of par 3 golf courses. Especially one that charges me as much as a full course to play. On the plus side it doesn't take a lot of time to play and the scenery was better than I expected. My first word of warning is to leave early because this course is located on a road with a 35 mph speed limit and if you are not staying in one of the estates located on this road it will take you a while to get there. I was late due to not knowing this and the starter did not seem happy about it even though they weren't busy. It appears that they have spent a lot of time and money on the restaurant and not much on the rest of the facilities. The cart I was in looked like it might rust apart while on the course. The greens are slow, not a little extra growth slow, but "I think I should have hit my driver there" slow. I don't know grass and this may be the way it is suppose to play but I have never seen greens this slow in all of my travels. There are some 190-200 yard holes from the tips but this is still a par 3 and most holes are 110-125 on average. Nice to play next to the ocean but I probably won't go back. If you want to hit a ball into the ocean this is the place to play but with so many nice full courses in the area for the about the same price I wouldn't recommend it if it's the only course you will get to play while on vacation here.
North Palm Beach Country Club
Played On 07/27/2015Great course for the money
I really enjoyed playing this course. I was by myself and was asked if I would play with a couple by the starter.
There is plenty of room to use your driver even if you don't hit it straight every time and still plenty of bunkers, trees, and water in play to keep it interesting. One of the big draws for me is that several holes play along the waterway.
One interesting fact that I didn't know until it happened is that your ball doesn't always fall out of the trees here.
The greens were smooth and true and the course was very fun to play.
I highly recommend this course.
