The Golf Club at Chapel Ridge

The clerk behind the counter said my reservation with golf now was not processed. He did charged us $10 as. A convenience cart fee and said golf now just stiffed them. I didn’t want to argue since I came all the way from Florida this morning to take my son golfing for his birthday. I know my credit card shows the amount paid but he was put off and critical of golf now prices. He did not know the reason I got such a great price was because of $20 rewards besides the course was empty he should be glad you offered the hot deal for them otherwise I would have booked a different course. This is actually the second time that this has occurred in North Carolina

Played On 06/05/2018Enough elevation change outside of North Carolina mountains to enhance the experience
As a frequent traveler to North Carolina for mountain golf this course does suffice for the experience and better than a 10 hour ride. Used to live on the course in 1976-80 before the quarry holes were added. My 3 playing partners agree the elevations added to the experience. All Florida golf does not have to be boring and flat. Add in a nice breeze and club selection becomes a big part of the mental statergy making for a better experience. Always good to score lower than the temperature which was 88 .

Why do some people think they should take up a sport so difficult as golf when they retire. It’s beyond reason that it can be enjoyable personally and for others to play so badly. Five plus hours is not uncommon and I believe golf now is part of the problem. Pricing is making non golfers take up this activity I’m 68 shoot anywhere from 80 to 85 consistently but dread teeing it up nowadays.

The fairways were like concrete took a toll on playing the full 18 was glad when it was over. Iv'e played here at least 3 times a year for over 20 plus years I won't be back. After the front nine I got to #10 and found 3 foursomes waiting to start their round. I was told they just closed the front for maintenance - what gives here . I left never to return!
