Palm Desert Country Club
Played On 12/27/2018Good Course - Well Maintained
As usual the course is in good condition, greens are well maintained and the staff are great. The course layout is typical of the desert community styles but a fun track to play. We always have fun at PDCC. We will be back.
Cathedral Canyon Golf Club
Played On 12/26/2018Good Old Course
We got a deal and played here for the first time in 15 years being in the Valley. This was probably a great course 20-30 years ago in it's hayday but is in need of rework and maintenance, great design, lots of water, makes a player choose risk vs reward style golf. Lots of dog leg lefts which is good for me but not most average players, some forced carries as well. We had fun and will be back if the price is right.
Woodhaven Country Club
Played On 12/24/2018More Country Club Golf
The course is a typical country club course with a few tight holes and some wide open, not a lot of forced carries or undulating terrain to deal with, nice flowers and a few waterfalls. Great for the average golfer and an affordable round in the desert. The tees boxes are relatively flat and level, fairway grass is patchy and sparse and has not filled in since reseeding, greens are smaller and roll decent. Good for a family round and to keep tuned up for the champ courses out here.

PGA WEST Pete Dye Dunes Course
Played On 12/20/2018Great Day of Golf
As usual the course and turf was in great condition, the greens were rolling perfectly with tough pin cuts, the weather was fantastic and the staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.
Indian Palms Golf & Country Club - Indian/Mountain
Played On 12/19/2018Same Again
Same as last time, this course looks like it is slowly going out of business like many other Coachella Valley country club community golf courses. Minimum maintenance on everything, unlevelled tee boxes, horrible fairways, below average greens. They never tell you that the back nine is dormant until you get there and pay, we found out when we got to hole 10 and it was totally dead. Ok for a practice round with the family, no serious golfing here.

Indian Palms Golf & Country Club - Indian/Mountain
Played On 12/26/2016Disappointing - Not Worth Playing
After 10 years driving by this place my wife and I decided to book a round and see what it was like. Not like the website photos that's for sure. This course looks like it is slowly going out of business like many other Valley country club community golf courses. Minimum maintenance on everything, unlevelled tee boxes, horrible fairways, terrible greens. Took 4.5 hours to play as well due to slow players and no course staff. Will not return.
Desert Dunes Golf Course
Played On 08/14/2015Hot and Dry
I have a vacation home in the desert and have been playing golf in the valley for 10 years now and played here for the first time just recently after some friends invited me. I had considered it but it is way up north of the interstate. There were record high temperatures close to 118 f but the course was in good condition for the hot temperatures and the greens were great. I like the layout and will be back soon.
SilverRock Resort
Played On 08/11/2015Played Back Nine Twice - Still a great Golf Course
I booked online and never called the pro shop. My mistake, they were only on nine holes, so I had to play the back nine twice. The back nine was in great condition and the greens were superb, puts rolled true every time. It was unseasonably hot at over 115 almost every day for 2 weeks and everything was still good. I usually play up in Palm Desert but when I get a good deal I always play in La Quinta at Silverock. Keep it up.
Desert Falls Country Club
Played On 12/16/2014Desert Falls a bit Short on WoW Factor
The course is not the most visually pleasing but if grass is what you want Desert Falls has more of it than any golf course I have ever seen - anywhere period, especially in the desert. I have been golfing all over the valley for over 7 years now and have never seen this much grass. There are not many fairway bunkers so it screams go for it with your drives on most holes which we did. The course is hilly and finding a good lie can be challenging if you are not familiar with the layout which was an issue for my wife. Hitting greens in regulation was average as the greens are guarded normally with sand traps. This was our first time playing here and after a bad first few holes I ended up shooting a 79 from the blue tee, I was happy with the outcome. The greens were really good and rolled nicely which helped keep the score in check. Putting well always helps. Overall I would rate the course 7 out of ten but only because I like more desert and sand than grass, My 2 favorites are Silverock and Firecliff.
We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. It is great to see you had an enjoyable time on the course and we hope you join us for another round soon.
