Will play here again for sure as the course is ideal for beginners and intermediate players.

The upkeep of the course is not the best, but for a public course in the middle of no where I was impressed with the openness of the course and moderate difficulty. Great for a beginner but there were several water holes leading up to the greens on several holes. Other than that I would return in a heartbeat!

I like the outlay of this course although it needs some tlc to get it up to "par." It was certainly challenging for a handicap player of my sorts but it plays well enough to not be overwhelmed.

Galloping Hills has everything a beginner needs--a 9-hole fairly easy course, it has a driving range, and areas to practice putting, chipping and hitting out of the bunker.

Played here for the 1st time and I found the course pretty open with plenty challenges, keeps the beginner praying while playing trying to stay out of water hazards, bunkers and brush. Course was in good condition, some of the greens were bumpy and needed some TLC but other than that all else was good to excellent!

Course has a little bit of everything for its size. Great backdrop of Manhattan as well.

You get great bang for your buck here, relatively easy course with good pace. Walking is better than riding!

Love playing here, West and East are well maintained and pace is always great in the afternoon.

This is my second time playing at the course, I went during twilight hrs on a hot day so it was empty but I had a great time up and down with this fun yet slightly challenging course. Greens were a little bumpy but playable.

Great little course for working on everything but your driver. Fairways are narrow and tight but the price is right and the course has a really good layout.

Not sure what is going on here but I started the front 9 with a good pace and then when we arrived at the 10th hole there were 6 golfers in front of us out of nowhere. This is the second time this happened to me. Greens are not that well maintained and the congestion is unbearable. There is no marshall assigned to the course to monitor pace, etc. Hopefully new management can establish true tee times and organize the pace of play better.

Really enjoyed the course as it was a pleasant surprise giving challenge with a variety of different layouts per hole. There were a number of hills but the greens were even making putting reasonable. I would recommend water coolers in the sweltering heat and clean porta johns.

With 2 courses to select from Passaic County gets this right and provide a 5-star venue for beginner and intermediate players.

Good open course for those who struggle to hit them straight from the tee box but the greens are pretty hilly. So you have your challenge at hand!

Pace was great, perfect for walking and refining your game.

I normally play at the West course but got a great deal on the East course so I gave it a try. It would have been great if I played with someone that knew the layout of the course as I got a little confused with no directions or signs. Will definitely play again now that I know the layout. Pace of play was great and staff is super friendly.

Really good course with easy front 9 to get you pumped and then you hit the back 9 with narrow fairways and challenging greens.

Have driven by this course many times but never played there until yesterday. Great local course that is flat and easy to play. Will play again soon.

This course has lots of slants, hills, doglegs and undulating greens. It is very challenging and difficult for a beginner so it will be a while before I play here again. But its a really nice course. Would like to come back a year from now.

This course is being updated weekly with improvements, the fairways are well-maintained and wide open but the greens are somewhat tricky. There are 2 or 3 Par 3 holes and 3 Par 5 holes so you get to appreciate variety. They are currently building a new clubhouse so that should improve my score on after amenities, they do need a starter marshal, and more garbage cans at each hole. If you work in Newark this a great place to play before work or after.
