Ashton Hills Golf Club
Played On 04/23/2023WAY TOOOOOOO SLOWWWWWWWWW
Staying with the facts, it took 5 hours and 25 mins. At one point we noticed 2-open holes and no one did anything to push slow play. There are too many golfers out there after COVID, Ashton Hills doesn't need slow play, have them move along or kick them off the course and give them a refund, encourage they never come back. Ashton Hills is in fantastic shape, best public green surfaces in metro Atlanta. I get it's not going to be 4-hours on a Saturday but 5 hours and 25 mins is absurd. By paying the green fee we expect club management will push slow play. If not that's OK, just tell us before we book to play we should expect 5+ hour rounds.
Wolf Creek Golf Course
Played On 10/22/2022Slow, Slow & Slow
Wolf Creek has stepped it up when it comes to conditions. Pace of play, still some work to do, this past Saturday, 5 hours and 15 mins for 18-holes, not 27. 6 tee times an hour (every 10-mins), a marshall on the front and a marshall on the back pushing play (if needed) would fix it. At that point the price can go up to say $70 a round and no one would complain. Paying $62 for 5h15m is just never going to be OK. Please speed'em up. And if you're reading this review and you're the slow play culprit, Shame.... Shame.... Shame.... Shame....

Tee boxes and bunkers need a lot of work. Fairways and greens are above average right now.
Governor's Towne Club
Played On 11/14/2020$95.40?
Feeling a bit taken advantage of. Greens were heavily sanded and hadn't been cut. Round took 5 hours and 35 minutes. We teed off at 9:20. No ranger ever came out and we called a couple times.
Wolf Creek Golf Course
Played On 11/01/2020Bad Greens, Good Ownership
We love Wolf Creek. On this day the greens just weren't what they usually are. Sandy, bumpy, aerated and full rate for the round with no heads up conditions.
Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club
Played On 08/11/2018Not Worth the Money Right Now...
I've played Crystal Lake about 50x and it truly is Jekyll & Hyde. Couple weeks ago the greens were mediocre. This past Saturday 8/11 the greens were not even playable. There are dead spots ALL OVER the greens not to mention the players on this course DO NOT fix their ball marks. I fixed several fresh ball marks near my own ball mark and it was clear the ball marks were from Saturday 8/11, the groups ahead of ours. We paid $46.00 to play that Saturday and it's worth around $1 per hole right now, the price of the cart fee. The course has to warn players the greens are unplayable BEFORE sending us out. My group likes to gamble and due to the conditions of ALL the greens we couldn't have a proper game.
My recommendation is do not play this course and force the ownership to do something about the greens. Crystal Lake is one of the best lay outs in the entire state of Georgia and they need to install Bermuda greens tomorrow. The Bent grass that far South dies every single year. If the course installed Bermuda greens they could take the rate up to $60-$65 a round EASY and players would pay it. I've never reviewed a course on GolfNow but honestly my entire group felt ripped off paying $46 for a golf course that is not really a golf course, just golf carts, a range, tee boxes, fairways and rough, not one of the greens was remotely playable!!! A golf course without putting greens is NOT A GOLF COURSE! Please feel free to reach out to me if the course wants to make good on the experience we had.
