Although the pace of play was slow, the 3 gents I was paired with made the day enjoyable. Ryan, Ryan, and Randy are golf caddies at TPC Stadium Course in Scottsdale and truly enjoy all that golf is about: fun, friendly, competitive enjoyment. I couldn't have asked for a better pairing for my long awaited return to Cave Creek Golf course that was the Menz Golf Group winter home for a long time. I will be back.

Golfed with 3 others and enjoyed the entire round and condition of the golf course. Koodoos to SS staff.

Firstly, MAKE the door near the cart drop off available to check in-who had the bonehead idea to remove the door handle(s)? We literally had to go around to the side (north or south) doors to enter through a very crowded restaurant area, which I'm sure the people that were eating from a buffet line did NOT really appreciate either.
Secondly, slow to get the cart to us...literally AFTER our tee time @ 1.08 (teed up 7 minutes late @ 1.15pm).
Thirdly, sloooow play=5 hours..teed up at 1.15pm, finished at 6.13, oh, excuse me, only 4 hours 58 minutes! Where is the ranger when you need one? If this is an acceptable pace of play on a Tuesday, would you have to start a round on the weekend on Saturday to finish on Sunday?...I am being facetious, but you get my point, right?
And when we drove up to drop off the cart, the carts were backed up down the path. BUT the cart guys were on us like white on rice to clean our clubs. So if money is involved, employees on the ball. Otherwise, where in heck is MANAGEMENT, or is there no management?
This course could have higher ratings, even good ratings with a few simple MANAGEMENT implementations.
P.s. I, at the recommendation of a few retired friends already working at a golf course, am contemplating applying for a golf course job because I love being at a golf course. But I would certainly want management to be more aware of the customers enjoyment than experienced on this round.

Papago has long been a favorite course. From decades ago as a competitive member to now, Papago has always let me know where my game is.
The wind, then rain, became quite a factor in this round. Even though I can't play long as in the past, the course still provides a fulfilling round and the full gambit of golfing aficionados that have played there. I'll always look forward to playing another round at Papago.
