Great Course!

I've played this course a handful of times now and I love it Everytime. The greens and fairways are well taken care of. No houses around anywhere because its surrounded by sod farm. I personally don't like playing around houses because my ball seems to be drawn to them. Clubhouse is pretty standard. Good food there and the staff all around is awesome. If I still lived in Michigan I would love to have a membership here because I thoroughly enjoy playing it. Highly recommend this course.

Blown Away by this course

I played here about 15 years ago and we thought it was ok. The owners changed since then and I would absolutely stop here and play if I was on a golf trip. It's not a super fancy course. The golf carts are a little older. There isn't a paved cart path. But everything on it was immaculate. I forget which hole it is but it backs up to a RV place also owned by the same person so you could stay there and pretty much walk down the road to the clubhouse. Beautiful landscaping and backdrops. No houses around. The gnats are bad after it rains but that is the only thing bad I have to say about this course.

Amazing course!

I played here with my stepdad and my father-in-law and it was fantastic. Everything was green and the scenery around the course is beautiful and quiet. The greens were well maintained, the fairways were perfect, and even the rough was nice. If I still lived in Michigan I would absolutely play this course as many times as I could in a week. I will definitely be back to play here again!!

Very Forgiving

I took the drive from kitsap to play here and it was definitely worth the drive. The greens were a little tore up because of people not repairing their ball marks. We played the twilight time at 315pm and there was no water out on the course. Fairways were nice, not too hard. For the 90 degree weather and beating sun this summer, this course was not bad at all. Nice course to walk because you don't have to walk very far from hole to hole. I will definitely go back.

A Diamond In The Rough

I found this beauty by accident. When I pulled up to the club house I was blown away. Gorgeous waterfall setup right behind the putting green. This weather has been dry in the PNW this summer but you couldn't tell on this course. The fairways were forgiving when you hit a bad shot but also challenging. There were a few brown spots off the fairway and on the fairway but they are not very noticeable. A little pricey but the cart is included in the price. I will definitely be going here again!!

Worth the drive

This is a very hard course to play, but very fun. If you're walking it is definitely a walk/hike with some golf. Awesome fairways and greens, both soft for the hot and dry summer. Awesome staff! The driving range could be a little better maintained but it doesn't change my mind about this course. I will gladly make the drive to play here.

Perfection

This course is absolutely amazing. I'm not the best golfer, and my shots don't always like to go straight but this course is very forgiving while still being challenging. The greens and fairways and very well kept even though it's been a hot and dry summer. The one thing that you have to get used to during the nice season is the pace of play. Tee times are stacked and the average round time is anywhere from 5-6 hours. If there is a slow 4 some in front of your 4 some, it will be a long round. Awesome course for the price.

Changes

This course used to be very full of trees and absolutely gorgeous. I played there recently and it really looks like they made a deal with a logging company to clear out the trees. There is not a whole lot of "woods" left in Mccormick Woods, that's for sure. Other than that, I have no bad things to say about it. The greens and everything are very hard due to the hot summer, but remain green. All the workers are very polite and the beer on tap was deliciously cold.

Go somewhere else...

A lot of people like this course because of the fair prices and the short drive. I will gladly drive anywhere on the Kitsap peninsula to not go here. The people on the course when I have played are nothing but drunkerds. I've seen a group of people hitting their ball from the cart they were driving. If you hit you ball off the fairway you'll have to deal with those little white flowers when trying to find your ball. If you want to play with a cart during the weekend, wait until 3pm and go to gold mountain or whitehorse. These courses have amazing conditions and the prices match those conditions. The food is way over priced. 5 bucks for a hotdog on the turn is rediculous. I played one time with greens that were half sand half green, with no discount on the price. Bottom line: go somewhere else.
