One of these days when everything goes perfect. Who’s playing by myself and they started offered to let me go off early ended up playing in about two hours and 30 minutes. Nobody with me I focused on my game and shot rounds. I have to say I am amazing company when I have no one to talk to.
Hey is a great day and a great course with good company!

As always Aguila is a good test of golf. It’s a well laid out course with a little water, well placed found, greens With contour and speed.

They have the Coronavius Preventive measures up and running. No rakes, keep the pin in the hole, Carts sanitized and washed after rounds, restaurants closed except take out.
We like a Aguila. We think it gives good value for the money. Brought some friends along they also enjoyed. Stay safe take care!

Each year we come down to Phoenix. Each year we make time to play Arizona grand. It’s not just long and straight it’s good got holes make you work for a good score. Some people might collect tricked up we call it fun!

At a little over four hours around could’ve been faster but you really don’t want to complain about four hours and 10 minutes do you.

The worst thing was seeing all the empty barstools, dining lounge, eating areas closed. There are usually so many people around having a good time it adds to the enjoyment. We’re lucky we can play golf

Desert Canyon is definitely a step up from the budget courses around the valley. For the money it’s probably as nice as the high-end courses that I’ve played over the years
Pace of play was excellent and not quite four hour round. Course is in great shape! for us it’ll be the signature round of our stay down here and it’ll be exactly that a signature around.

Started got us off 45 mins early & we played in 4hrs. Great staff from the Cart Master, Starter, marshal!
Rate was good and course was great!

Beautiful morning. Friendly bag boy got the bags out of the cart and loaded us up. . Teamed up with a couple of youngsters in their late 20s. They knew Golf and they knew Golf etiquette and were fun to play with. Starter got us off promptly at 8:16.
The boxes and greens are in good condition, sand is good in the traps. Not enough golfers are repairing ball marks that’s on us golfers not on the course. during the round one of the maintenance folks stop by a Teebox and picked up broken tees. Good review for the course for doing that but another bad review for us golfers. Played in a little over 4 1/2 hours so somewhat slow forMy taste.
Good cold water every few holes.Excellent!

They had had a tournament that morning so we were 15 minutes late getting started. Round took five hours. We were paired with a couple of nice women from Canada. Golf course was in decent shape. Grades are pretty divity. Come on follow golfer so we could repair more ball marks of that.
It’s Arizona high season so it’s the higher rate which is not really what the court should be charging but it would you can.
It’s a 35 minute drive and I doubt we play it again.

Tee off 8:37. Course in good shape. Staff friendly. On hole 5 called in about slow group in front of us. Marshall came right out and continued to drive by. Finished in 4:10 minutes so pace ended up excellent.

In Feb/March all courses down here are overpriced...high season, supply & demand. Can't complain about $$ ... It is what it is.

U can pay less elsewhere but it's a later tee time or a par 65 course or some other factor.

We will definitely play again!

The design shows why Tom Doak is world's best. Every hole is a jewel and in tune w/ its surroundings! The Tribe is working hard to revive the course. The greens were in great shape - fast and smooth. The fairways are fair. Short grass with some bare spots but playable. The sand traps have no sand just a soft dirt. Obviously something to fix. We took a free drop and played on!

If you like resort golf with green grass, silky sand then don't play Apache Stronghold (or go to Scotland.) But if you appreciate great design, fair conditions, low price this course is for you! My wife and I will drive the 160 miles r/t to play again - bonus scenery on drive is out of this world!
