Good course. No frills clubhouse. Good pace of play. Conditions are pretty good except some rough patches in fairways. Green in good shape.

Wow…the shape this course was in was on another level of bad. Tee boxes were mud, the fairways were awful. Cart paths were indescribably bad. The greens, however, were in decent shape. Think they had been redone.
The course could be really good. And nice layout. It just needs a lot of time and money to get the course there. The check in staff was great.
Thank you for taking the time to review your visit to Lion's Paw. We apologize you had the misfortune of playing only a day or two after we received 5" of rain in one day (8/3) Our rainfall for the past 30 days is more than double the typical amount for this time of year. As evidenced by the majority of recent reviews being Three, Four or Five stars, I hope you will agree your experience was somewhat of an anomaly. The cart paths do in fact need work, but this was greatly exacerbated by the massive rainfall, as was the muddy conditions you mentioned. We agree, the greens are actually quite good right now and they were redone just a few years ago. I'm glad to hear you were treated well by our staff, which is always very important to us. We hope you will come visit us again and hopefully will catch us on a much better weather day than your last visit.

Far too much money to play this course. Bunkers and tee boxes in horrendous shape. First time playing this course…not worth it. A nice layout, but very poor conditions.
Princeton Country Club

Nice layout. Some holes a little beat up. But, greens were in good shape. Couple fairways a bit chewed up. You can see how this used to be a great course. Good bones. Tight fairways.
Mattawang Golf Club

Good staff and rangers. Course is in pretty good shape considering all the rain. Pace is good in the AM. Some very tough holes.

Gambler Ridge Golf Club

This course has a very nice layout. But, it is really in terrible shape right now. The fairways and tee boxes are complete mud. The greens, however, are in decent shape. It really has a lot of potential, but between weather and lack of attention to maintenance on the course it needs a year to recover. I wish them well fixing it up.

Rutgers University Golf Course

Generally, Rutgers very nice, but it’s badly beaten up right now. A lot of mud and dirt patches. The greens are still in good shape. Staff is a little obnoxious.

Rutgers University Golf Course

It’s a very nice layout and the greens are in good shape. But, the fairways are a complete disaster. Not sure what happened. I will give credit the greens are in tip top shape. Even with all the hackers not fixing ball marks! Why can’t people do this?
