This is a fun, challenging course. I’ve enjoyed playing it for years. The only thing green now are the weeds. Putting surface is like linoleum with patches of carpet. I know it’s winter. I’ve always played here in winter and it used to be much better. This used to be my go to course. I’ll not be back soon. Hope new owners will fix it up.
Eldorado
Played On 09/19/2014nobody enforcing pace of play
this is the slowest pace of play for 18 holes I've ever experienced. Well over 5 hours. By the time we finished it was after 7 pm and freezing cold. Other than that the course is very nice. There are at least 3 holes that were impossible for my wife to navigate with a 3-wood distance of 130 yards. Rather than giving a ball to the swamp she dropped on the other side. Be prepared for lightning fast greens with tricky pin placements.
South Course at Highlands Ridge

My wife and I played this course for the first time yesterday and loved it. We're both bogey golfers. The course was a challenge but if we hit good shots each hole was parable. The course is totally green, like Michigan in mid-summer. The greens are in perfect shape and consistent throughout the 18 holes. There are lots of bunkers, strategically placed, and water hazards everywhere. Many holes could be on postcards for Florida's beauty. My advice to the average golfer would be to take extra balls. Once in the water or brush and they're gone. My only suggestion for the course management would be to give course maps to new golfers. Their scorecards have no maps and there's no maps on the tee box signs either. The only way to find many hazards would be to drive from tee to green before you hit and that's not feasible.
