Winnapaug Country Club
Played On 08/13/2023Nice course
The gentleman in the golf clubhouse was very nice. He was informative and professional knowing it was our first time playing the course. The price was a little higher than it should have been considering the conditions.
The course is not visually pleasing like some courses I have played. It was a little beat up in the fairways and lacked proper signage for holes, 100, 150 and 200 distances. With that said, the greens were in excellent shape. Not firm, but plush and very few blemishes. Very hilly course with undulated greens. Some holes had fescue obstacles and deep bunkers. They were running a lunch special for $10, which was basically a free drink (alcohol included). Food was good, not great and the service was excellent. I would play here again.

This is a nice course for the money. Conditions were good, staff was friendly and the Tavern is very good too. We were given a rain check for the back 9, no questions asked. I will definitely be going back again.

Nice course. First time I played it and really enjoyed the layout and the challange. The greens were newly aerated, so putting was not great, but in 2 weeks it will be playing really well and I will defintely go back.
West Bridgewater Country Club
Played On 09/04/2020Nice course layout
They have just aerated the greens end of August and top dressed with lots of sand. In a few weeks, it should be great but when we played the greens were really slow and soft. The course was very wet. I enjoyed the challenge of some narrow, long fairways. The front 9 was definitely in better condition. Italian sandwiches were excellent at the turn.

First, let me say that this course is nicely maintained and kept long in the rough. It does have its challenges for the average golfer. Its basically a challanging par 3 course. It has some par 4’s but it is a 60 par. It doesnt have any long par 5’s or even long par 4’s for that matter. There are no blue or black tees. They do have a blue stake area that is further back, but those tee areas are not very well maintained. And some of the tree branches overhang leaving your shots 50/50. All the sand traps are beautifally mintained and the greens are very approachable and run semi fast. I do wish the maintanance staff would not allow carts to roam the entire course (right up to the green), as it beats down the areas around the greens. They should rope off and force carts to sides within 50 yards of greens. With all of that said, it is definitely worth the money and is a fun, short course with plenty of practice opportunity for your short game. I would recommend this course to anyone, but just know if is not your typical par 72 course.
