It was cool when we teed off but warmed up to be a perfect day for golf. Course conditions were good, especially the greens which were firm but receptive and had some good pace. They were quicker than the last couple of times at the course and rolled very well. Saw the beverage cart 3 times in our round which is nice as the course doesn't go back to the clubhouse at the turn. Pace of play was good even though we were a twosome playing behind a threesome. We played in 3:45. The staff was friendly and courteous. One of my favorite courses in the metro area.

The weather was hot with the occasional breeze as we played Chestatee. Given the rain over the last few days the course was in fantastic condition. The fairways were well grown in and created a good lie. The greens were a bit slower than I remember them but given the heat it is understandable. Unfortunately they are a bit soft and way too many golfers don't repair their ball marks on the green which made for some bumpy conditions. Overall, it was a very good round and I will be back soon.

The weather was hot and humid, a regular Georgia Summer day. The fairways are fantastic, ball sits up very well. The greens are hard and smooth, gotta really spin it to make it stop however I was really surprised at how grainy they were. Into the grain and good luck getting it to the hole, surprisingly slow,. Bunkers were mostly raked but several had only 1/2 inch of sand in the bottoms. Beverage cart came by several times during our round, and the marshalls that we did see were very friendly. Only drawback was what seemed to be a 3some holding us up a bit but still got around in 4 1/2 hrs. A fine golf course at a reasonable rate, highly recommended.

Two of us played on a course mostly empty playing in just over 3 hours. I enjoy the layout even though it may seem short on the scorecard. The wind combined with plenty of water and sand on the course make it a fun challenge. My only criticism would be the bumpy, sandy greens that have yet to heal from being aerated a couple of weeks ago. Also, no beverage cart on the course but conditions were pleasant enough that the water stations sufficed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. In all, a fun round near the beach.

We have played this course many times over the years and it was the same fun round that it always is. Pace of play was a little on the slow side but not horrible. The tee boxes and fairways were in great shape while the greens were just average. Mainly, the greens were very slow in comparison to previous rounds played here with a little bump in them along with some sand. Still, a fun round of golf.

The course was in very good condition considering the hurricane that came through the week before. Rough was high as it had been too wet to mow but the course had what seemed like an army of staff working on the course. Greens were smooth and true, fairways mostly dry and tight and the rough was a penalty as it should be. A very enjoyable day on the course.

The day was very hot and humid after a few days of hard rain but surprisingly the course was not cart path only. There were a few areas to avoid that were still a little soggy but overall the course handled the water very well. The greens were smooth and true if just a little on the slow side. A few had a bit of crabgrass sprouting but it was apparent they had been sprayed. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was a very pleasant round of golf.

Have played GlenLakes on vacation for the last 10 years. Always the best value in the area, the course was in great shape after hosting a college tourney during the week. Rain had fallen at times all week and the course handled it pretty well. The greens were in great shape and the fairways had only a few truly hard to play areas. The bunkers were firm but had sand and were playable. All things considered, the course was very good and as always the staff was friendly and helpful. Will be back again next year.

I actually played both 5/23 and 5/24. This was my first time here and I was delighted with both rounds. The weather was hot and humid as usual this time of year and the course had experienced a lot of rain in the previous days but held up well. The greens had been aerated around a week before but I was aware of that when I booked the times. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Make sure you get one of the course guides as there is water throughout the course and it can't always be seen. Great course.

The course was not terribly busy the day I played and I played 36 holes. Weather was hot and a bit windy making the course play a bit more difficult but still was an enjoyable day of golf. The greens were firm, barely left a ball mark, and moderately quick but rolled true. Definitely a course you will play better after having seen it once as course knowledge will save you many strokes. I would recommend this course to anyone that enjoys a well conditioned resort course.

I enjoy this course every time that I play. The fairways, greens, bunkers and overall condition of the course were very good as usual. I played at 11:00 on a Saturday. The course was not overly crowded however the pace of play was atrocious. Took 5 1/2 hours to play and never saw a marshall to find out the cause of the slowdown although I suspect it was a foursome 2 or 3 groups in front of us. Overall, a great course that took far too long to play.

After a very cold starting 3 or 4 holes the temps warmed up under a clear bright sun. The course is in good shape with receptive quick greens, tight fairways and, after some obvious work from the maintenance staff, a fair amount of sand in the bunkers. Unfortunately we played behind some players who didn't repair ball marks but overall the round was very enjoyable and fun. I would highly recommend the course to anyone who likes a challenging but fair golf course.

I've played this course several times this year and it hasn't disappointed yet. A very good value for a course this nice. Fairways, greens and rough are all in very good shape. My only criticism of the actual course is the bunkers. My playing partner and myself both had the opportunity to play from the bunkers and we both had issues with little to no real sand in them. Hard compacted dirt under a thin layer of dirt. The real headache was the pace of play. 5 hour round with no course personnel to speed things along. I will be back even so.

We played the day before Hurricane Irma reached Atlanta and it was windy making it a tough round but the course held up well. The fairways and greens are very good, with the greens being somewhat fast especially considering the wind we played in. My only criticism of the course would be the bunkers, all of which seemed to have rocks mixed into the sand. There was also some of the underlining showing on many of the bunkers. All in all a good course with some challenging holes.

This was my 5th time playing this course this year and as usual it was in very good condition. The fairways and greens were very good while the bunkering was in fair shape as some of them could definitely use some additional sand. Some of them were very thin and hard in the bottom. The greens were speedy without being unfair but some of the pin positions were extremely difficult. I would definitely recommend this course as a good value and a fun track.

While it is a bit of a drive to the course it is usually well worth the effort. Lots of elevation changes and some blind shots make for an interesting round. Our round was in the 4 1/2 hour range on a hot day. The beverage cart made it around 2 or 3 times in our round and there's plenty of water. The greens were very soft but kept a decent speed, especially if you were on the wrong side of the hole. Fairways were very good and the bunkers were average to good. An enjoyable round.

The weather was a bit breezy and it was warm the day we played. Having only played there once before 2 yrs ago I didn't remember much of the course making some of the holes tough as course knowledge helps here immensely however the course was in very good shape with the exception of a couple of bunkers. Greens rolled true and the tee boxes and fairways filled in nicely after a warm winter. A nice golf course.

Played on a day when the temp was almost 100 degrees, tee time was at 1:00. Course is in good condition considering the drought we've been in. Fairways are still in good shape, greens are firm and fast. My only criticism of the course itself would be the inconsistency of the bunkers. Some have sand, some are bare dirt. Beverage cart seemed to disappear around 4:00 and after the round no one could be found inside at the food counter. I could have used a cold beverage when the round was over. Overall, a good experience.

The golf shop staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The starter got us out right on time and the course was generally in very good shape. Tee boxes and fairways were good. Greens were a little inconsistent due mostly to many unrepaired ballmarks and varying speed, probably due to the heat and efforts to keep the greens healthy. My only real criticism is the condition of the bunkers I played from. Most appeared to have not been worked on in a good while. Some need more sand and all need smoothing and raking.

After having issues with the greens in 2012 they have supposedly installed new grass on the greens but the only thing I saw was Poa Anna and sand. If the greens fill in it will be quite some time before they are playable.
