Talamore Golf Resort
Played On 08/12/2019REALLY nice course. Fun layout & great condition!
I played today and really enjoyed this course. The greens are close to immaculate, fast and fair. Fairways are near perfect. Course has a lot of variety and some interesting challenges too.
Waterlefe Golf & River Club
Played On 12/24/2016Beautiful Greens!
Course was in overall excellent condition. Greens are a standout. fast & smooth. Layout is interesting and fair. Lots of wildlife to see.
The River Club
Played On 12/20/2016Tight Course
Course is good fun, but several holes have very narrow driving chutes that are very difficult. General course condition could be better. Greens were very slow.
The Highlands Golf Course
Played On 12/19/2016OK But Not Memorable
The course was in good shape and was entertaining. Good value.
The Pointe Golf Club
Played On 06/16/2016Excellent Greens and Good Value
This is a very s. nice shore style layout with excellent green surfaces. These are the best green surfaces that I have played on in many years. The overall layout is interesting but not anything unusual. Fairway condition is also very good. Bunkers and sand are in good shape. I would definitely recommend this course. It is better than Currituck Club and costs less too. The course is a 45 minute ride from Corolla NC, at 7:30 in the morning.
The Currituck Club
Played On 06/15/2016Pricey for What You Get
This is a pretty average course, and it's only stand-out feature is the location. For this prime location you pay a premium but the course itself is just average. Course condition is average. For these prices there are numerous areas that have seen too much wear and tear and need fixing.
Thanks for your review! We are glad you enjoyed your round at our course. We hope to see you again soon for another round at The Currituck Club!
Los Caballeros Golf Club
Played On 8/11/2013Very Entertaining Golf
This course is definitely worth the drive from Phoenix. Lots of elevation changes, nice views, a good variety of holes with many of them scenic. Many elevated greens are a challenge. Will definitely return.
Eagle's Nest Country Club at Pebble Creek Resort
Played On 7/21/2013A Relaxing Course
I like to play here when I am tired of really difficult courses. The BEST feature is that there are relatively few outsiders playing and the members keep a quick pace of play. The layout is friendly without being bland and entertaining without any trickiness. Just fun golf, and what more can you ask for? Course condition is always good to very good.
Sundance Golf Club
Played On 6/30/2013This course has some bite.
This is a quiet little course and it does not have a lot of visual appeal, but it is not a pushover. Almost all the greens are elevated, making approach shots critical. There are several split fairways that force you to hit over desert areas, and there are several tiered greens. The last 3 holes are probably as strong as any in the area. Great bang for the buck!
Lookout Mountain Golf Club
Played On 6/24/2013Lots of variety
I really enjoyed this course. The condition is good but not great. Greens were very smooth. What makes it special is the variety of holes and the need to think your way around. Many of the greens have a lot of slope that is not readily visible so expect surprises. Do not let the short yardage from the "Back" tees fool you. It plays more like 6,300 than 6,000. The elevated tees are fun too. You need to pay attention to the course hole map they provide.
Verrado Golf Club - Founders Course
Played On 6/21/2013Greens are not green
This is an excellent course that I have played many times. The greens however seem to need some help. about half the surface is brown, not green. They putt faster on the brown stuff so putting speed is very tricky.
Wickenburg Country Club
Played On 6/16/2013Fun Course!
This course could be 4 stars with a little better conditioning. Holes are varied and interesting, especially from the back tees. Hard to play for a first-timer. Many narrow fairways and run-off points. Greens were only about 75% covered in grass and grass around the greens was often very thin. signage needs to be improved. Many cart path intersections leave you guessing where to go. Got lost twice.
Golf Club of Estrella
Played On 5/27/2013Very Nice Desert Course.
This course is a fun layout and generally reasonable in that it is fair and almost all hazards are visible. Some of the greenside bunkering is probably over-done, and several only had about 3/4 inch of sand. It was in good shape except that chipping areas around the greens have very tight lies until the Bermuda comes in more.
Palm Valley Golf Club - North/South
Played On 11/3/2012Nice Florida course
Course was recently over-seeded and rough was 3-4 inches...Not fun. Layout is typical Florida style. Flat with lots of humps and bumps along the sides, except that the last 6 holes have some interesting elevation changes.
Tres Rios Golf Course at Estrella Mountain Park
Played On 10/28/2012Few hazards and no significant rough
This is a fairly bland course set in a flat river valley. It could be a lot better if more attention was paid to the condition. They appear to have a gopher problem on many fairways. Good value for the money.
We are so happy you enjoyed your round, lrotondo and look forward to your next visit to Talamore!
