The last time we played HH Lakes was March 4, 2023, and the greens were covered with Poa annua and were basically un-puttable. But the greens are now PERFECT! Also, the tee boxes were great, with normal grass on them, and the fairways were clean and well-mowed. Good raked sand in the bunkers. This course has a beautiful layout, with a nice Adirondack feel to it, with all the beautiful pine trees, water, and beauty. The staff was very friendly and professional. We couldn't have been happier with the condition of the course and staff.

Golden Bear was in great shape, as usual. Always in better condition than a lot of other courses on Hilton Head Island. There was even a Marshall that drove around and helped keep up the pace of play; something that is rarely seen. The staff was friendly and helpful, from the Marshall, Cart Girl, Bartender, Office staff. The greens were excellent. Fairways perfect. Really good design, too.

Great Clubhouse & staff. I played the first day open after a bad ice/snow storm. The course played nicely and the greens were good.
