Lochmere Golf & Country Club
Played On 08/18/2021Hounded again by a ranger!
This shall be the last round we play here at Lochmere.
My golf partner is a 74 year old career Lieutenant Commander USN veteran who is a handicap golfer. We have been told to stay different distances from the greens with the cart. One told us here at Lochmere 15 feet, another, 30 feet, and this week we were berated by an arrogant ranger who demanded we park the cart 30 yards from the greens (90 feet). When my partner tried to question his demand he was told to "HIT THE BALL CLOSER", and "DON'T MAKE ME COME BACK TO TALK TO YOU AGAIN TODAY!"
We are done with Lochmere, we would play it again if it were FREE to play. I hope the owner reads this and retrains his staff to be at least to be courteous when "asking for compliance to the course rules used for handicap players using his carts".. By the way I drove the cart within 20 feet of the 10th green, while he argued that I drove right up to the green. Now mind you he was over 250 yards away.
Worst hospitality I have ever experienced at any course in the lower 48 states, period!

Wonderful course to hone your skills while enjoying the mountain views. I play this course at least once a week in the summer and throughout the fall.
Le Grand Vallon

Course was in unbelievably great condition for fall play. I highly recommend this course if you are within 50 miles of La Grand Vallon, you will not be disappointed! And the vistas are the cherry on top.

Own's Nest is one of the most beautiful courses in Central New Hampshire with Mountain views on the back nine. Worth the drive, but bring some extra balls as this course is going to challenge your golfing skills.

Great time every time I play this course. Some of the greens are a bit troubling due to all the wet weather we have had this summer.
