Great Value

The course is a great value especially when you take advantage of the afternoon deal which is $25 all you can play after a certain time (1pm on Saturday 2pm other days). Pace of play is always pretty good as I play often by myself and am able to get in a quick 18. Course conditions are ok but great for the value. Greens have been in great condition, some of the best I have played in the area but the fairways always struggle. Grass is thin and bare in areas so you always seem to have a suspect lie even when in the fairway. The layout is fairly simple but provides some opportunities to take some risk reward shots with dog legs. Some of the downhill holes really allow you to stretch out your driver and make you feel like a pro when it goes 300 yards. Great play for the value, I would definitely recommend the afternoon rates. It is probably not worth it for the regular rates but hey members need their time.

Great Value for a Weekend Warrior

I would call this an average course that is deceptively challenging. The majority of the greens are raised "hump back" greens but the set back is that the quality of the greens is often questionable. Any approach shots will have to find the green or the raised mounds will reject them. The fairways are in pretty good shape with fairly consistent grass. Overall the course is a great value for the weekend warrior. Great course just do not set your expectations for a 5 star course.

Great Layout and Fun

Came to Myrtle Beach and someone recommended this course. After playing a previous course this was a nice surprise. There is obviously alot of water on the course but it is not too demanding on tee shots. It provides a challenge but is very fair. You are more likely to get in trouble with a bunker on a drive. The water comes more into play when attacking the greens. Unfortunately when I played it had rained a ton the day before so the greens were very soft. This caused some issues with divot repair spots and spike marks but other than that the greens were smooth. Green pace was not extremely fast.

Over-rated

I was suggested this course when my other options were closed for aerification. When first reading about it, I thought it would be really cool to play the layout of different holes from the tour. Well pace of play was pretty slow and the conditions just weren't that great. It came off more as a gimmick than true justice to the holes. The greens were bumpy and slow. Save your money and play something original, not a poor reproduction.
