Quaker Creek Golf Course
Played On 04/17/2020They need to take the Coronavirus-19 seriously
The staff made little effort to comply with the separation control policies that should be in place during the current pandemic. The golfers made even less effort. Of all the places I have played in the last 1-1/2 months, ALL of them have rules that only 1 person per cart (even family members), that the carts are cleaned prior to being giving to a player and the building (pro shop) used be closed.
I paid for my round through GolfNow so when I arrived, I had minimal contact with the pro shop, though it was open for me to enter. When getting my cart, I was given a cloth rag and and spray bottle from a golfer that had just cleaned his cart. Who knows what that spay solution was. The staff member took the two items with a "this is a stupid step" kind of look at me. I drove the cart to my car and re-cleaned it with my own cleaning wipes.
The course is tight, so you can see other players around. Many were carts were loaded the 2 players and many players had no thought of social distancing.
The last point of non-compliance was the crowded deck outside the pro shop. I love to have a drink after a round but seeing 20 or so people on a 500 square foot deck is, at this time, not good.
There are many courses around the area that take this coronavirus seriously, go to those places and not here.
Heritage Oaks Golf Course
Played On 09/20/2019I wish we had a course like this!
Three of us took a 4 day golf vacation around Harrisonburg. On the last day we played at Heritage Oaks Golf club. Wow! What a great play. From tee box to green the course was in perfect condition. As playing for the first time, the layout was a bit confusing; one or two more directional signs would have helped. When we are in the area again, this course will be on our list to play!
Falls Village Golf Course
Played On 09/13/2019Course is in great shape
The course is in best shape it has ever been in. Now if they could widen the fairways...Oh, those narrow fairways, the rough is long enough that you can easily lose your ball. The good news is you can find others.. The greens are the best in the area, very true and smooth. I was dropping 15 to 30 foot putts, Just ask my partner.

The management has worked hard getting the course in excellent condition, Greens are in great shape if a bit fast with all the slope they have. Good job.
Your feedback is important to us. Thank you for sharing your 5-star experience. We look forward to seeing you again at the course soon! Thanks for choosing Wendell Country Club.
Falls Village Golf Course
Played On 11/20/2018The guy placing the pin locations must have had a bad day, and we found him.
First let me say Falls Village lost 4 players today. We had a morning tee time and our 4 cars counted for about 40% of the cars parked, including the staff. We did not see anyone in front or was anyone behind us all day long. Second, I'll say that the tees and fairways and greens were in very good condition, however, the "sand traps" looked like the surface of Mars, with #18 the worst. But that is not why they lost us. On about the 3rd or 4th hole, all of us agreed that the pin placements were a bit mean, mostly placed on the edge of a ridge or a few feet away from the edge of the green, always on a slope. That again is not why they lost us; you take what they give you and play the game. Nor the fact that the "clubhouse" did not have any type of sandwich, burgers or hotdogs, other that bags of chips and crackers; we've played the course before and know they don't have that to offer.
This is the reason the four of will not be playing at Falls Village again: While having a beer after our round and sitting at the bar around 1:45, a staff member (manager ?) came in, and on his way through asked if those were our carts outside, and to take our clubs to our cars so the carts could be turned over, then continued past. We glanced at each other, "What?". Maybe they were closing for the day and wanted to finish things up. Stopping for moment, he said "crowd of players are coming and we need your carts". A good mood was over in 10 seconds, we finished our drinks, went outside and saw 5 carts outside ready to go. One of us asked what was wrong with those and that for the years that he has played, never, ever has anyone asked us to do what he was telling. Sunset today is 5:05, 3 hours away, there were 30 cars in the lot as we left.
I have read that the course in under new management. The course itself is improving, costumer care is not. One person, that is all it took. We think that guy is the one that placed the pins on the greens.

Played On 05/14/2018Great time
That was the first time I played the course, so every hole was a new experience. The course in general is full of limited sight lines, hidden greens, water everywhere and narrow with homes close by. What fun! The tee boxes are narrow and used, the fairways had some brown patches, but the greens were in great shape. On the down side, the driving range tees were on artificial pads, and right next to hole #1, so your drive has a great chance of being one of hundreds of practice balls. The price was the highest that I've paid in the triangle area for a Hot Deal, but overall, I had a great time and will try to play there again.
Lochmere Golf Club
Played On 03/07/2018Great course - bad conditions
It was our fault. Raining for days before, the course was in, well not the best condition. Had fun, but the un-fairways challenged us every hole. We will be back because it is a great course, it just needs the sun to shine more than it did on our day.
Indigo Creek Golf Club
Played On 02/15/2018Fun but rough
First of all, great staff and the place was full of golfers. I also understand that it has been raining there. However, the course was rough, farways we're muddy, greens were slick, wirh no grass in some places. It's been a while since I played short of a 5 hour round.
Raleigh Golf Association
Played On 11/22/2017Course in great shape - greens were fast
My friend a I play this course once a month or so and really like it. The course in general is in great shape, however, this last week the greens were like playing on a pool table with slopes and ridges. Once we adapted to them, yeah, no, still like a pool table. Had a good time anyway and we'll be back.
The Golf Club at Chapel Ridge
Played On 10/25/2017Everything was perfect... so we used the whole course.
3 of us pretty much the course to ourselves and that was a good thing as we were challenged. The fairways and greens were in great shape. I Highly recommend this course.
Falls Village Golf Course
Played On 08/01/2017It's a challenge
The fairways are narrow with a lot of doglegs which make club choice important. The greens were recently aerated and were not the best causing rough and bumpy conditions.
