Dannebrog Country Club
Played On 04/01/2020One of the most famous sand green courses
Dannebrog golf course has been in Golf Magazine, Golfweek and on a TV show, The Wandering Golfer, all in the same year, along with newspapers, like the New York Times.
This will be the least expensive round of golf you'll ever play, like $5 a day. Pay on your honor in the Dropbox.
This is golf in it's purest form. Sand greens, natural fairways, no sprinklers and used to have cattle on the course. With a slough that comes into play on the first 4 holes, it has character. If you play it in the spring or early summer when there's been enough rain, it can have US Open roughs or British Open feel. The true golfer should at least once in their life play sand greens, and this is the one.
Beatrice Country Club
Played On 08/08/2019One GREAT course
If I had to play only one course in the state the rest of my life, this would definitely be towards the top of the list. A good mix of parkland and links style holes. Not a bad hole to be found, can be very difficult especially when the wind blows. No two holes are the same. Probably the hardest starting holes for each nines of any course in the state. Greens are fast and smooth. The staff is great. Any time I can play a course this good and be treated this well I will always return. Just wish I lived closer.
