About
Used to have a clue but not really anymore. If i score well on 9 of 18 holes I am quite satisfied. No longer chasing the dream but sheesh I'd love to do what Tom Watson has done.

Arkona Fairways Golf Course
Played On 10/31/2018Tough Par 68
Played here quite frequently. Have played all the courses in Lambton County and this course had the most consistent greens. Extremely fast, hang on for the ride. Holes 16, 17, and 18 I consider to be the best three finishing holes in the county grouped together. The course is never busy, which is surprising. Everyone I ask all say they love Arkona. This is a perfect course for Seniors, Juniors and Women. Even big ball hitters who I have seen drive the ball close to alot of the greens, don't do well here.

Nice little place to warmup the swing but at present it has been closed. They are building homes on the east side of the course. They say they will open an executive Par 3, but who knows. It was a great course to take my grand kids. It had a very active womens and Senior league.
Last date I played was actually Fall 2017.
Souris Valley Golf Course

The staff were excellent. They told us of other places to try and are very proud of their course.
There are some very tricky holes and a lot of yardages that were deceptive to the eye. The greens were in great condition and rolled very true. Found them to be a good speed. Some holes could use some TLC around the edges but you should try for the fairways. this could have been from flood damage.
The view off of the 11th tee is outstanding and also off of the 4th Tee looking down river.
Know your game when you play this one and if you aren't sure ride up and check the landing area. We found the course not that busy.
Didn't seem to have a restaurant on site but the burger joint on the scorecard was well worth it. My wife loved it.
