Tried to pay cash for my green fee. Was told to use a credit card to pay or leave. Are you serious? Greens are all raised and very undulating. Played at 9am in under four hours. Course layout is really stupid. Don't go on a windy day or don't go at all, the choice is yours.

I took my 7 year old grandson out to play golf at Shadow Mountain. Every one treated him so nicely. It was a great time.

The front nine was OK with decent pace of play. The back nine started with maintenance crew (3 guys on machines at 1 pm)deciding to mow the area around the green while we were trying to finish the hole. They never stopped moving and it was most annoying. Don't they know to stop while we are hittimg green side shots and putting? Obviously not!
On 12 someone showed up and said that our cart was going to die and he was here to exchange the cart which was extremely disruptive and annoying. The replacement cart had no ice in the cooler and he drove off with our drinks in the cooler in our first cart. Unbelievable!
High priced public course Amateur hour at Desert Willow. I would never go back!

$50 charge for club rental is more than the green fee on Golf Now! Course is a great layout but fairways could really use some work. Sand traps are rock traps so they will have something in them when the wind blows. Everything is extra, bottled water, range balls, tees etc. Pay more to play a real golf course at Waikaloa Beach resort where everything is included. It will cost the same in the end.

Traps improved and filled up and fairways and greens nice too! Challenging golf course in decent shape and priced right. Take a power cart unless you feel like walking up the hills on 8, 9 and 11. New food service operation as well.
