Eldorado
Played On 07/21/2015Very Good Conditions
The Day was great, the course was in very good condition. Very good practice greens and range. Tee boxes, fairways and greens very good. The back 9 more difficult than the front -- keep it in the fairways.
The Bellaire Centennial Golf Course

They are trying very hard to make improvements and it's obviou. There is still work to be done. Greens are not in the best shape -- need to be sprayed for ants; need to rolled and sanded after arriation; need to be cut in the morning "before" play! Very slow and bumpy. Fairways fine -- a little long in grass but okay for me. Nice course that still needs work.
Dunmaglas Golf Course

Very nice course with very little traffic on the weekdays. Fairways somewhat open. Be careful though, some great drives will get lost if hit "over the hill". Challenging course, can be a long day for beginners but a great course for views and that "Up North" feel.
Glenlakes Golf Club - Vista/Dunes Course

Course layout was fair and nice. Fairways fairly open and easy to hit. Bunkers abound for longer hitters but okay. I liked the course but the greens could have had "grass" or been a little green. The greens were fast but consistant.
The Chief Golf Course
Played On 08/26/2014Not for the beginner
Course was in very good condition -- greens were slow but true. For the low to mid handicap players, this course would be a gem and a challenge. Not for the faint of heart or high handicappers. Some very scenic holes.

A very nice little course in Kalkaska Michigan. It's a bit of a challenge because of the trees and some tight fairways. A flat course that's easy to walk. The fairways are well maintained and the greens, while just a little on the slow side are in excellent shape.

This course is one of the value gems Up North. The course is well taken care of; challenging but playable for high handicappers. Never crowded -- don't know why. Very nice course that I would make my "home course" if just a little closer to - home!
The Leelanau Club At Bahles Farms
Played On 10/14/2013Course well taken care of -- good fall golf.
Good golf course and great fall golf. Leaves blown from greens and fareways. Greens plugged but filled in with sand.
